im not sure there is a script for the wonder card, but take a look at the MyTheatre script, its pretty similar to what you want.

Heres an idea.

  1. Press the AV button on your remote to tak you back to normal TV
  2. Get out local newspaper with 7-day guide

You now have a 7 day tv guide and can watch TV ---------> on your tv  cool.gif

Hey,

You'll need two things:

1. Install tv recording and viewing software on a pc (often called PVR software, or a media center)
2. Install a python script in xbmc

Option 1: Mediaportal (Windows)
Server: http://www.team-mediaportal.com/
XBMC Script: http://home.iprimus.com.au/miarose/
FYI: Mediaportal was formerly known as "XBMC for Windows", and is started by a (or the?) founder of XBMC.

Option 2: SageTV (Windows)
Server: http://www.sagetv.com/
XBMC Script: http://coolwave6.googlepages.com/home

Option 3: Myth TV (Linux)
Server: http://www.mythtv.org/
XBMC Script: http://sourceforge.n...cts/xbmcmythtv/

Option 4 and 5: DreamBox (digital tv) or myTheatre
XBMC Scripts: http://www.xbmcscrip...id=18&Itemid=30

And option 5 is probably watching/recording tv through MS Media Extender
http://www.MS.com/wi...ner/mcxkit.mspx

It's hard to suggest one approach. I've been fiddling with most of the above for the last few weeks. SageTV crashes like mad, Dreambox is only for digital tv, so I am stuck on MediaPortal and MythTV. Mediaportal can be a pain to set up, but once you've got it running, everything works okay. MythTV is better supported throughout, but can be a pain to set up if you're not into Linux (like me).

Still, it's worth going down this road, but beware that it won't be easy. Make sure you do a lot of reading and searching on the XBMC and xbox-scene forums:

http://www.xboxmedia...ms/ikonboard.pl
http://forums.xbox-s...hp?showforum=62

You'll find that a lot of other people have posted about these things already, be sure to learn from their experience.

Hope this helps. Best of luck,

Debikkel

Not all of us have that option. ^^^^^ I run XBMC through a projector that doesn't have a built-in tuner. To make things even more interesting, I'm stationed in Germany for the time being and the only thing that I have at the moment that will tune PAL signals is my tuner card.

Are you saying that Sage itself crashes for you or just the script?  I've been runing sage for about 2 1/2 years now and absolutely love it.  Haven't had a single instance of crashing on either my main system (WinXP) or the new Media Server (Server 2003).  With some of the features added in the newest version it's nearly a perfect setup for me.
