Wake On Lan Script Error
« on: January 09, 2006, 11:51:00 AM »

I'm trying to get the wake on lan script working from....

http://www.projectxnetwork.com/index.php?blog=entry&id=22

The script crashes and errors at line 14: Attribute error 'module' object has no attribute 'ReadSettings' .

Here's the call the script is making at line 14:

settings=settingsmgr.ReadSettings(settingsfile)

If I comment this line out the script will run but obviously this function becomes invalid.

I've posted on the authors site with no responce. Anyone using this script with success? I have a little VBscript experiance but no python so it's alittle greek.

Thanks

I found that after FTP into XBMC, some or all scripts stop working. Not sure why but this was root cause for this issue.

Wake On Lan Script Error

I know it's not possible to wake the Xbox from a remote computer. Not what I'm doing.

It is possible to wake a remote computer from the Xbox. I've got the script working. Seems after ftping into Xbox Media Center some scripts break until a reboot, including this one.

I'm using this script with the autoexecute script. Turn on the xbox and I also turn on my PC with all of my media.
