Scripts Menu
« on: January 04, 2006, 10:00:00 AM »

i have a bunch of scripts and they all work for now. i was wondering if there is a way to browse all of your scripts other than going to my files. i was curious if i could add a new menu like my videos except have it called my scripts then i could go there and see all of my scripts.

also i went to http://manual.xboxmediacenter.de/wakka.php...ptEngine&v=1ct1 to see how to make them auto launch and all i have to do is copy and paste that text into a notepad and change what i want to autostart. save its as autoexec.py and send it to my xbmc scripts folder correct?

thanks all help is greatly appreciated.

I belive that the script downloader for XBMCscripts.com will also browse the scripts you have installed from that site... If not there is always a script called "ScriptBrowser", whihc with a few tweaks, works very well for browsing you current scripts. It's what I use and it works great..

Easier is to fire up XBMC, FTP (FlashFXP is the way to go) into your Xbox, browse to .../XBMC/skin/Project Mayhem III/PAL/ and edit the file DialogSubMenu.xml.

Once you open up DialogSubMenu.xml you'll see what to do as the file is well commented.

Make your edits (hint: try one first), ftp the file back to the Xbox, and then see how it looks in XBMC's main menu.  Your scripts will appear in the little blue square that's next to the red button that access the shutdown menu.
