Problems With Launchbrowser Anyone?
« on: October 26, 2005, 03:44:00 PM »

Strange, all of a sudden it stopped working..  It flashes "Getting playlist url" when I click on a video and thats all it does.  I downloaded the latest version, 1.7 and same thing..  Anyone else having problems?

XBMC: T3CH Oct 23, 05
 LaunchBrowser v1.7

Yup...same here..videos all list and can be searched for.

When trying to run a vid, it flashes:
 "Getting Playlist Url."

Has Yahoo! switched up their url's again!? urrgghh!

Looks like we'll need a LaunchBrowser 1.8

Same problem here. It says "Loading playlist URL" or something for a second, then back to browsing the videos. Selected video never shows up. I have tried with different CVS builds:

a) Pimped edition (12th of october)
cool.gif T3ch (early september)
c) T3ch (27th of october)

always uploading to e:\apps\XBCM, renaming the old XBMC folder first. I have also deleted the e:\TUDATA\00*face* folder (can't remember exact path now)

Anyone have any ideas? This is the V1.7 of LaunchBrowser

Problem appears to be that Yahoo requires an authentic account to access the videos now.

Any idea how to get LaunchBrowser to use an authentic Launch account if you have one (I do and would be happy to use it with XBMC).

Well, now I'm not so sure.  It could also be User Agent based.  I tried to log in with moz beta and got stopped, set UAS to NS 7.2 and it passed to a check screen requiring a click action.

Seems we've been grabbing their content w/o seeing their ads... might be why they are trying to stop us.

It wouldn't be such a bad thing to have to set my free Yahoo ID and PW in the script, but forcing me to watch their ads too makes me as unlikely to use the service as watching MTv.

Yep...my kids were using that daily. Definately wouldn't mind watching the ads.
