MS Announces Power Cord Replacement For Xbo

Aha! Caught you!

"The Redmond, Wash., company said incidents related to the defective cords has occurred n fewer than 1 in 10,000 consoles. In almost all the incidents, the damage was contained within the console or limited to the tip of the power cord at the back. " http://story.news.ya...tc_cmp/60401775

Part of that is true, the damage was mostly caused near the tip of the cord, but because of a PSU failure, not the power cord

Ok, I have a customer's 1.0 xbox at my house, and with all the discussion, I decided to have a look at the PSU. Lookie what I found:

Foxlink 1.0/1.1 psu

I have 2 of these PSUs, both of them have broken solder joints. This problem is more common than you think, any 1.0/1.1 foxlink PSU is a timebomb.
