Lantus released a new version of DOSXbox360 for JTAG/Homebrew 360s and updated the libSDL360x libraries for developers:

DOSBox is an emulator which emulates an IBM PC compatible computer running MS-DOS. It is intended especially for use with old PC games. DOSBox is free software.
DOSBox is a command-line program, configured either by a set of command-line arguments or by editing a plain text configuration file. For ease of use, several graphical front-ends have been developed by the user community.
DOSBox is a full CPU emulator, capable of running DOS programs that require the CPU to be in either real mode or protected mode. Other similar programs, such as dosemu or VDMs for Windows and OS/2, provide compatibility layers and rely on virtualization capabilities of the 386 family processors. Since DOSBox can emulate its CPU by interpretation, it is independent of its host CPU. However, on systems which provide the i386 instruction set, the option to use dynamic instruction translation is available in DOSBox. Though this setting is less accurate and reliable, it is faster than interpretive CPU emulation.
DOSXbox360 is a native port of DOSBox for the Xbox 360.

- Mouse support via left analog stick
- Mouse buttons are simulated by A and B buttons

Notes
I started out by working with XeDosBox source and fixing the long standing keyboard issue as well as fixing a crash to protected mode games. I decided to just port over the latest 0.74 repository. Compatability should be much improved over XeDosBox.

* libSDL360x Updates
With the help of cancerous, Ive recently updated the libSDL360x repository and fixed some long standing bugs in the code.
- Fixed keyboard code so Shift/Alt/Control keys work correctly
- Fixed Joystick bug where controllers 2-4 would poll against player 1
- Added mouse emulation via Left Analog stick. Button A for left mouse, Button B for right mouse
- Adjusted vertex buffer to fit inside safe-area region

No, this is an isolated DOS emulator without direct hardware access, and you need native direct hardware access to flash people's dvd-drives.

Just tested it, awesome work, it is slooow but a good start, Can't wait to see how far this can go

Thnx for this great port. I tried to boot 2nd Reality (FC Demo), it was slow with some graphics/audio issues. BUT, I love/respect your work...thnx a lot (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

My 360 isn't modded, so I can't test this, so I have to ask, how fast will it run games? Will it play games like Blood and Carmageddon at full speed?

If so, then I'll get my 360 modded for this.

can you link me to a download of that please?

right now performance is sluggish on some later titles. The reason is there is no dynarec for PPC at this time so its all interpreted emulation. Performance is something im really interested in looking into.

great to hear that someone is working on it again,
but currently this version is a bit behind the original release.
It seems slower, uses only 2/3 Screen, compatibility is a bit down and has graphic isssues.
Windows 311 is cool tho, hope you get the advance drivers working in the future, so i cant run it at a higher resolution.
Anyway i hope you continue working on it, if you need testers i dont mind to help

Monsterbash worked fine, now crashes after intro animation..
Rayman was working quite well with the old version and some config tweaking, now its with the same config unplayable (speedwise)

If you have the DOS games Carmageddon, Blood, or System Shock, then please could you try them and post the results.

thanks Lantus I enjoyed playing some Warcraft 2 on my jtag

next to try is fallout 1, need to clear off room for a full install.
