Hey everyone,

I'm trying to help a friend out that's trying to play an Xbox 1 PAL rollerblading game on his 360. Everytime he boots it the game it shows an error saying "This game is designed for a PAL xbox only" and won't run. I noticed that Dashlaunch 2.07 has an option for region spoofing, but I think I'm setting it up incorrectly. Here's the Launch.ini:

CODE
[Settings]
pingpatch = true
contpatch = true
fatalreboot = true
regionspoof = true
; region = 0x02FE
nosysexit = true

In the readme it says:
Also, at the bottom it says:

Can someone help point me in the right direction? I'm not sure if I'm actually formating it or placing the region code in the correct place. Thanks in advance!

remove the semicolon. semicolons are used for remarks.

Thanks for the reply. I forgot to mention that I also had tried it without the semicolon (no difference). Am I placing it in the right place? (right under region spof = true)? Thanks!

Well i'm going crazy with this

I'm trying to have the xbox so that when I switch on and I press "A" it goes to freestyle dash instead of NXE

The thing is.. after 100s of times tried.. I managed to make that exactly 1 time.
I think the problem is the timing here..

When exactly are we supposed to start pushing the button?

Should I hold the button even before I boot the xbox?
Should I only start holding after the top left quadrant is lit on the remote? Or on the xbox?
The xbox is switched on on the x-logo on the remote right?

Please help, this is driving me crazy and for what I've search I must be the only guy getting this wrong!

You're not the only one. I've never got it to work either. I have the launch.ini set fine, I've tried changing the default xex as well to other paths and that works, but I've never managed to get it to choose different options. I've only got wireless controllers though, and that's I'd imagine 1/2 the problem, with wired controllers I bet it works all the time but because the wireless ones take so long to synch up the 'window' of when to choose an xex passes.

I also had problems but figured it out somehow.  smile.gif  I only use wireless controllers.

Start the xbox with the controller. Wait for the controller to sync. Hold down the button you assigned while the startup animation runs - don't release until you're sure the animation is done. This works for me every time.

From mini-menu press and hold the assigned button a few seconds right after you exit ("Xbox Dashboard"-button). Also works for me every time.

Thanks for the reply

BTW, "wait for the controller to sync".. does that mean when the blinking light in the controller stops on the top left  quadrant or when the top left quadrant on the xbox is lit as well? Which one is the one that "tells" when the controller is synced? Xbox or controller?

I have tried every combination i can think of and i still cant get this to work to boot into FSD when i start my xbox, i've read heaps of tut's and some say internal hdd is just hdd and some use hdd1, some say place launch.ini in root of hdd and others say anywhere. The furthest i have managed to get is to boot to an E79 error which means is a dashboard error so at least the ini file works.
   Currently i have my freestyle dash folder named FSD in root of partition 3 along with my launch ini file, my ini file looks like this - i only care about the default.

QuickLaunchButtons]
BUT_X = Hdd:\Content\0000000000000000\C0DE9999\00080000\C0DE99990F586558
Default = hdd:\FSD\freestyle.xex

[Settings]
nxemini = true
pingpatch = true
contpatch = true
fatalreboot = true
regionspoof = true
dvdexitdash = true
xblaexitdash = true
