Why would that happen?

Why would that happen?

I loaded freestyle dash (disabled filemanager) as a default dash.
If someone accessed system settings, they can access to memory management in which might accidentally format the attached usb hard drive.

if there in an option in dashlaunch that may disable access to nxe then the attached usb harddrives cannot be formatted thus saving the games from accidental deletion.

i have kids playing at home and i need to limit their access. i cannot let them change system settings or worse, format the usb drives (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

(edit)
btw! thanks for filling in the request. i appreciate it very much! also, others will (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

No one liked the new 9199 dashboard when it came out.  But people got used to it, as you will have to to.

I already installed v2.04 and then v2.05... But just running the default.xex installer is that updating? It tells me that the files don't need to be updated but did it automatically update the patches?

Exactly what I was thinking. I always have my jtags set to boot directly to FSD. I saw the Kinect dash for a couple minutes when I first setup console & haven't seen it since. Most of the stuff on the MS dash can't be used by jtag online anyway.

Cool option to add. Good job "rhai". If i could requst one. I would love to have someway to disable the xbox from trying to connect/sign in to XBL. I can't use the time sync feature for FSD or use xlink because, i am scared to plug the ethernet in to the back for fear of banning the xbox, because my profile try's to sign into XBL. My xbox has never even been online or even connected to live servers. I do use FTP for my xbox but i just pull the plug from my router to the computer

Even though there is a tiny bit of handshaking with it on, Family Settings which restrict Xbox Live access works for blocking Live profiles from going online.

I've been using it on my LT+ (offline) console and JTAG console for years and I've had no issues.

Actually, it seems it can send a lot more data than most think quite possibly including things like crash dumps. There was a topic around regarding what it does send even with family block in place, and it is not enough to keep the console from phoning home with it's reports.

Most routers will allow you to assign access restrictions to WAN based on the MAC of the machine connected to the router... why not go that route?

Yes, just run the installer and it should update anything that needs to be updated. If you run this one you should see launch.xex and lhelper.xex flashed, and if you don't have them already the fb 0.11 patches.

You sure you aren't misreading the 7 as a 2?

That error happens because you have a "default.xex" in the root of that usb stick. Try removing that file and you'll be okay
