D3dfvf_xyzrhw Not Supported In Xdk?
« on: November 13, 2010, 10:56:00 PM »

I was following the DirectX 9 tutorial at directxtutorial.com when I came to the part where I render a triangle with all the color pallets used for the texture. Anyways when I compiled I got an error: 'error C2065: 'D3DFVF_XYZRHW' : undeclared identifier' think that was strange as I have used this tutorial with VS 2008 express before and it compiled fine. So, I looked in d3d9types.h(the place where the defines for the Flexible Vertex Formats are?) it does not show up at all.

I was just wondering if anyone else ran into this problem and found a fix for it? It seems that the DirectX version used by 7645.1 does not support it. Which is no big deal as I am sure I could get the XUI or ATG framework to do something similar but would like to accomplish it in D3D first. Thanks for any help given.

That would make sense, I actually think I may have read that but forgot about it/thought it was for something else, though I don't remember the D3DRS_VIEWPORTENABLE part.... probably why I asked here. Thanks for clearing that up dschu012, much appreciated. pop.gif
