Why not be just happy about this option for jtag users that dont want to mess with life.
I dont have any normal 360 and im quite happy to play now several games online, imo the number of 360 players is also increasing everyday....

do u think with your help we wouldn't need to have xlink kai running in pc?

just a quick clear up i had a few people inbox me about going on live with jtagged boxes, the thing i was refering to was the fact people dont need a jtagged box to play on xbox live with backups, the dvd firmwares deal with that and users can go months if not years on an unbanned xbox with latest firmware a 100% verified images

but ofcourse people can go on live with a jtagged box but from what ive read it will only happen for between a couple of hours to a day max, i havnt tried it myself, like to keep my jtagged box off live...unless i have a good reason to do otherwise.

This sounds great and was how i first got involved with online gaming back in xbox1 days.

I have a jtagged 360 that i did myself but when doing so i got corrupted dumps of nand, but somehow i managed to join them together to get the 360 jtagged.

My question is, will the freesyledash(with ping thingy) be loadable from a usb? (I don't want to start mucking about with my 360 again....)

This is great news but I only see shooters being played on XLink (and XBC). Now if there was a way to play fighters online with a jtag, that would be really awesome.

Freestyle Dash works fine from USB. but you need freeBOOT 0.032 + Dashlaunch to get the ping patch. for freeBOOT you have to flash your 360 again... Dash Launch (incl. Ping Patch) is installable without a complete new flash.

from my limited understanding of the way xbox 360 runs it's software and how dashlaunch works.
it WOULD be possible to have 'xlink' and a game running on the same 360

it would just have to be integrated into freeboot or whatever.

like the way dashlaunch works i believe freeboot is patched to launch dashlaunch xex instead of the default and dashlaunch in turn launches what it should based on the options picked.

so assuming someone who knows enough about xlink + xbox development wanted to work on it im sure they would be able to figure it out eventually ^^

i installed dashlaunch 2.0 without any flash, i just used ftp.

i play now for about 1 week everyday with systemlink patch and i had 0 trouble

I always look on Xlink every once in awhile, looking to find a game to join, but it never happens. Would be awesome if more people used the service. I too, hope this will persuade more people.

the good thing about it, is that this is gonna make XLINK activity gain a boost

that's awsome, more gamers in xlink, the better.
