Dash Launch v2.02
« Reply #15 on: September 29, 2010, 05:34:00 PM »

You're right. It was 'OpenJazz360' in 'Games' folder. Dashlaunch v2.02 working properly. Thanks.

First thing i tried was to downgrade to v2.01 with corresponding installer but it didn't look like the installer was successful since it passed all files as 'up-to-date'. The v2.02 installer on the other hand seems to force the 'launch.xex' install and overwrites the xex regardless of the version number.

Default = Hdd1:\FreeStyle\FreestyleDash.xex

Not sure what else to try.

By the way, am I supposed to flash something before hand?
I noticed you used to have to.

I have FreeBOOT 9199 or whatever.

Change all the Hdd1 references to Hdd, save to the root of the HDD. Run the installer, it will say it found launch.ini on the HDD, when it asks you if you want to update it select yes.

Thanks for the reply.

I did that actually.
And notice some of the options above are Hdd and not Hdd1.
The only reason I have both is because I tried one with only Hdd and one with hdd1.

I also did what you said already and put it in the root, then ran the installer again.
It said Dashlaunch was already installed.

I said yes to the update.

Still doesn't work. :/

So just to be clear the 2.02 version includes patches for:

xbox 1 emulator
Xlink Kai
content (xbla unlocked)
region patch

is this accurate? also the region patch is it good for the new region check included on quantum theory?

I dont think it (and correct me if i'm wrong ..) auto unlocks xbla content and earlier versions allowed other 'patches' run in parallel (like 30ms patch) I think they have integrated the region patching and ther xbox1 thing.

Btw if ppl are still hunting for it (took me a whiles as I found it in an unusual place) Then have a look at the download section of the site at the bottom of this post in the signature.  ph34r.gif

@DeVante: It can't hurt to re-flash 9199 and then apply ur 2.02 fresh

I've identified why I had probs with the content patch (or at least I think, Can't be sure) During the flash installer process it can give the false indication to some ppl that the install process is done (Going by what was said in the prompts - it appears to have finished and be prompting to flash again - at least some of us may take it to mean as such) I would have to say it's a little ambiguous  and my belief that quiting early may have undesirable effects ie's data corruption on the console's ability to sign/hash or whatever. The install will auto reboot when done - if done in it's entirety BTW .

This would sure explain a lot - Perhaps they could look at the language used in the prompts?

@eVante - I'm still having a think about ur prob (If it's not the above) then could u perhaps write short list of ur actions in recap so as to make understanding etc .. a little easier as I'm not sure where it's failing  (Eg 4got to save .ini in UTF-8 or whatever it might be) EDIT: U could also try the opposite and change all the hdd to hdd1 (try to cut/paste paths wherever possible amd/or use sample_launch.ini and save_as in UTF-8 as notepad etc.. will sometime loose encoding and default to ANSI or unicode or whatever ..

Also what did u use to build ur image (assuming u did it urself)

This doesn't seem to work with Zephyrs with 4580 cb. these require falcon patches apparently. I built a nand using best pig and had to select falcon board. this worked fine for dashlaunch 1.0 but when trying to install this it then would only boot xellious.

seems to work ok tho if i run the installer and just tell it no when asked to update patches. returning from guide button and not having to hold RB to go to video or settings etc all work fine.

If anyone else has a problem with a Zephyr with 4580, this is what I did. I just opened the installer folder and renamed the patches_falcon.bin to patches_zephyr.bin so this way the installer would patch it with the falcon files. Worked awesome with aud_clamp smc too.

Does anything need to be done to activate the region spoofing other than including the patches with freeboot?  Should I be able to automatically play games from another region?

does installing this dash launch version 2.02 include the 30ms ping patch ??? or does it have to be patched seperately same as dashlaunch 1 ???

as it has it the option included in the sample-launch.ini

example:-

nxemini = true
pingpatch = true
