I'm very sorry if this isn't the right forum, if not please move it. However, this is my situation. I'm installing FSD 2.0 and I want it to be able to connect to the internet, however I don't want my console to connect to live in any way. Currently, the only profile ever created on this xbox is an offline profile. I also have manually set my IP settings to keep my box off the internet, but if FSD 2.0 is going to be able to use it's auto update I'm going to have to put it back to a real active IP. Also, I have blocked all Xbox Live settings in the family settings options. So, what would be the best way of not allowing the console to not connect to live while at the same time allowing FSD 2 to use it's auto update feature and I assume download screens and stuff. Thanks to any in advance for your help... Also everything is running through a linksys router if that makes any difference...
FSD pulls the game art and descriptions from the Microsoft servers(Xbox LIVE servers).
