Freestyledash 2.0 Update 1044 Updating Every Time I Reboot
« on: August 08, 2010, 09:56:00 PM »

With rev 1044, a "quick fix" was added to prevent freezing/crashing when trying to play games or scroll through game menus while the HDD is being scanned for content.  All it basically does it stop you from accessing all content menus until the scan has finished completely, thus giving you the "content scanning" message.  Once the console is idle, the menus are accessible.  FSD will always scan at startup, regardless of the addition of new content or not.  However, newer revisions, (once released) will have a much faster scan time, so you'll just have to be patient until then.

Good to know a fix is incoming. FSD decides to scan all 47GB of my rock band DLC every time it boots, giving me a five minute wait before I can launch a game.
