Fsd 2.0 Release

Just as a side note I took my brothers online profile and made a backup. Ran freestyle dash 1.2 and did everything but start a game. Took the profile and comapred it with the original backup in a hex editor and they were the same. So as of right now they do not track programs that you are running unless the program tells it to write to the profile. Does not mean that wont change later.

I do think it is BS to threaten to not give Donations.

Clearly you don't understand the point of donations; the idea is that the person donating decides whether or not they want to give money for whatever reasons this may have. It's kinda like "if you take this software in a direction I'm happy with, I will give you money", and you're arguing that instead one should say "Well, I don't want my profile banned, so I've decided not to mess with FSD yet to be safe, but take my money anyway, even though I won't be using the program"....

Cheating on gamerscore is like cheating at solitaire.

Yes, but nobody's talking about cheating on gamerscore. Playing a retail game offline is not the same as cheating. Piracy is still against the law, as well as XS rules, so I'm assuming that the other people with the same complaint I have (about jtag system setting up a GT for potential ban, etc), actually own the games they play on their jtag system (just because we like homebrew does not suddenly make us pirates - or are you implying that because FSD might be illegal because it was developed with XDK without a proper license that that makes us pirates, and therefore strips us from our right to fully enjoy what our games we paid for have to offer us, simply because FSD is not licensed w/ MS?).

I understand that nobody wants to help the live cheaters out, but remember that they've never needed our help in the first place. GS cheating has been around since before the first fw mod, and people will keep finding ways to cheat their gamerscore that have little to nothing to do with jtag system, while the rest of us who simply want to enjoy our games (and the achievements that come with them) are restricted from doing so.

Why keep honest people honest when it doesn't keep any of the dishonest from being dishonest?

Bravo, I use the same logic with Gun control...it's stupid. The bad guys will always do what they want.

2 ways of doing this

1)Use it, Stop bit*hen about the damn icon, use a offline account or take the risk of getting GT banned/console ban. achievements are overated and useless, enjoy the da*n system and the apps that are out there for it.

2)DONT USE FSD, there no more bit*hing about it now, happy.

If you had read most of the comments on this, the issue here is that no one KNEW that it would go on their Gamertag since 1.20 didn't. Most of us (who care about this issue) will stick with 1.20 or figure out a way to modify the code for 2.0 (which Mattie has graciously given me a solid direction on...just not sure if I will know what I'm doing once I get time to try it out.

No one's bitching about FSD 2.0 itself, it is awesome, and way more polished than I expected the Alpha to be...In fact, if recently played games and favorites were enabled, it would be 100% perfect in my book (aside from the listing in the achievements of course;)  )

We need more information, so you're saying you are using a file explorer from FSD 1.20 or some other dash, selecting the .xex, and it just goes to blank screen?

Thanks so much for this! Absolutely awesome, can't wait for official release. One thing though, I don't quite understand how the paths work. I changed the xml and got it to read all my Xbox 360 Games and Arcade Games but I can't figure out how to get Videos and stuff like that. Any help or a demonstration xml would be great. Thanks again for this wonderful update!

I read this somewhere else, but try disconnecting your network cable and then start fsd 2.0. If that works, i also read that for people with your problem you should disable ntponstart

Sorry but you're quite wrong. I have a legitimate 360 that I use for multiplayer and online things and I have my JTAG that I like to use offline because I don't have to bring my discs back and forth or switch them out, plus I get custom settings like fan speed and neat dashboards like FreeStyle. Achievements are a part of the experience, and whether or not you like them or care about them is irrelevant - this change prevents a portion of the userbase from using these tools and dashboards as fully as they'd like.
Please, tell me how I can better utilize my exploited 360 than the way I am right now.

Major, major props to the FSD team for putting out such an enormous amount of effort for this project. The end result (even in alpha) is unbelievably complex and I have no doubts that it will continue to amaze.

Try downloading it again first, perhaps you had a bad download or transfer. Also, just to be sure, are you copying ALL of the files over from the FSD 2.0 directory (including the skin directory and such)?

This from the guy with "Neo-Bitch" in his x-s profile! This has nothing to do with game lobbies.

Are you sure you're running dashlaunch 1.0? Are you sure dashlaunch is installed correctly? I had a black screen until I set up dashlaunch properly.

Initially I was on dashlaunch 0.2, and it worked when I started the xbox, but not when I exited a game. I then used the toolbox (which is great, btw) 2.4 and ticked the box for dashlaunch. First I ticked the box for dashlaunch on the hdd, and I had the black screen problem, but then I redid it with dashlaunch on the nand, and now it works flawlessly (FSD is on a MS hdd). If I boot with the hdd attached, I go straight into FSD (although I can't exit to the NXE ever, but I don't care about that really). If I do need to boot into NXE (system display settings, etc), I just boot without the hdd attached and it boots to NXE.

I do not care about the GT icon because i do not use my Jtag profile online and i do not care about achievements etc.

I'm slightly worried about the fan speed not being enabled .... I have a hot Xenon.

I will install it tomorrow and give it a try because it is getting late.

A massive thanks to everyone that made this possible and i am looking forward to trying it in the morning.
