I do think it is BS to threaten to not give Donations.

Despite my problems, I did donate $20 USD around 1:45 EST.
I got an email from Paypal stating: "You have initiated a payment for $20.00 USD to [email protected]. This payment will be completed once the recipient has accepted the payment." and it has the date/amount/transaction ID, so I am unsure as to why you've yet to receive it.

indeed you have, thank you, our account still needs some verification, that is why its pending.

HxD is a hexeditor app  http://mh-nexus.de/en/hxd/

U could always just make ur Live profile not auto sign in. U wont see it in Dash but o well. then whenu launch a game it will pop-up to select gamertag etc. sign in then.

Good idea, it has been mentioned here, but when you exit a game, it will happen if you automatically go back to FSD. Thanks though! At this point, I don't need to use FSD 2.0, I just need to get it removed from my gamertag

@Mattie - What is the Game ID for FSD 2.0?

I urge you guys not to bow to the pressure and release a build with this feature removed, Mattie. If you do, you'll feed the silly notion that it's perfectly 100% safe to share a profile between a JTAG console and a retail/live console.

Nothing is 100% safe but no one is sure that they will ever ban for this. In your gamertag adding achivments from a jtag looks the same as adding from a live console. There is no difference except that it does not show a earned date. It does look the same if you are not connected to live. This all might change in the future but your acting like you have inside information. smile.gif Plus to ban for it they have to be 100% sure that you are pirating games. They just dont ban people for having offline achivments.

Either way great work to the whole team and I was just wondering if anyone knows how to get this project building in visual studio 2005 as I dont have the updated xdk?????????

Thanks

Has anyone tried getting the RSS feeds feature to work? I've added the X-S feed but nothing is showing up in FSD2a (after of course pressing the back button to show info). Am I doing something wrong?

It's not about perpetuating a known falsehood, but why draw the ire of microsoft for no reason? True, its never going to be 100% safe to tagswap, but sex with a condom was never 100% safe either.....buts its a hellova lot safer than no protection at all.

No, I'm simply acting on logic and common sense - clearly qualities anybody who'd use the same profile for Live & JTAG seem to be in short supply of. You're again going solely on what is physically shown on a gamer-tag; you don't *know* what other information is gathered or recorded by the gamertag. Heck, they could sneak out an update to your gamer-tag at any time that tells it to record the last 5/10/20 xex's it launched and report back next time it's connected to live. You have a JTAG console; you have it good - don't push your luck. Cheating on gamerscore is like cheating at solitaire.

Fair, but also when they ban modded dvd drives they only ban the console not the gamertag. You could take your gamertag over to a freind that has a jtag. I dont think they would ban over that. Either way not trying to start an argument because your logic is sound. And your last sentence was golden, made me lol.

Thanks for that! I was able to remove FSD 2.0 using the instructions I posted above in conjunction with this information. However, I have a buddy who has used both SummVM and XSnes9x...does anyone know how to find their title id's in hex?

Thanks

Cerise, why couldn't the developers leave that determination to the users...give the users freedom, and if they get banned, they knew the risks. It may or may not be safe...we already know this, and take what precautions we can.

It has been a while but I believe you can open xex's in abgx and the output will show the title id.

Seems you're on the right track here, but opening FSD 2.0 results in this:

Checking for updates to abgx360.dat...
Server file abgx360.dat no newer than local file - not retrieving

Checking XEX
     Original PE Filename:  Freestyle.exe
     Original PE Timestamp: 2010/07/16 11:48:10
     Allowed Media Types:   Hard Disk
                            DVD/CD
                            Networked SMB Share
                            Direct from RAM
                            Live Signed Package
     XEX CRC = CE518AF1
     XEX Media ID: 000000000000000000000000-00000000

Region Code: 0xFFFFFFFF
     Region Free!

Can the XEX CRC be converted to the title id or anything...

Why should they change anything if that is how they want it, the user does have freedom still by being able to choose or not to choose to use FSD2, knowing the risk you can still take precautions.

I agree they can choose what do do...I'm not saying I don't support them, hell, I'm a donator...BUT, I won't be using 2.0, unfortunately (unless they change this). I'm not saying they have to...I'm not even bitching. What I am saying is that they COULD allow the user to take their Xbox LIVE safety into their OWN hands.

Either way, we've beat this to death. You ARE right, they haven't done anything wrong by leaving it the way it is, and they have already stated that it will not change.

All of that being said, FSD 2.0 is AWESOME.
