If you read the read me, it tells exactly what you can do with it.

I suggest you don't use the program if you don't understand the tools or don't read the readmes'

And I suggest that you don't reply unless you can offer something constructive instead of just "if you would have..." You could have just spent the same amount of time helping me that you spent typing that retort.

It's dicks like you that ruin helpful forums. Why is it that when somebody asks a question people like you immediately assume that we did no research first. Just because you have seen this answered before does not make it immediately apparent to all that are looking for this info. I know how to search. I do read the readme's. I'm asking for a user community response. Not a pass the buck response like yours.

But I'll go ahead and humor your response since you're so sure that the answer is in the readme file. Lets have a look shall we:

Quoted from the XM360 1.6b readme:

XM360 - By node21

If you love XM360, please donate via paypal: [email protected]
------------------------------------------------------------------

Typical usage:
Launch XM360.xex
Choose Scan All - This will show you all XBLA titles installed (choose Unlock to unlock them if needed)
Choose Collection Manager

Once in the Collection Manager you will see a list of all known XBLA titles.  They will be marked as:
"Have" - it is installed
"Missing" - it is missing
"Ignored" - it is ignored

A title reaches the "Ignored" state by selecting it in the list, and pressing the "X" button.

The "Y" button will filter the list in the following order:
ALL (all existing titles)
Just Missing
Just Have
Just Ignored

After you are done, you should find a file in the root of your usb stick called xbla_report.txt.  That will list all of your missing titles.

As more XBLA titles come out, you can place a file in the root of your usb stick called xbla_titles.csv.  A simple perl script which creates this file can be found with this release.

run it as follows:
perl scrapeMS.pl > xbla_titles.csv

version history:...

The rest is just version history all of which just shows added features. I am specifically asking what do people use this for? The first few words in the readme show what the program is capable of but I see no value other than just listing what you are missing for DLC. I'm asking if that is all that people use it for and if so give me an example of how you would use it.

So now your next will undoubtedly be, "use the search function in the forums" or something similar (again, using as much words as a simple answer could have) but if I do a search I get all kinds of threads that have nothing to do with my question.

There, now that I've exhausted most of your retorts can you just swallow your ego and actually try and help me this time?

what a lot of words for such a small question ..
maybe you should try to shrink your words to the ones needed ....

XM360 is a kind of "list" tool for ALL your DLC stuff, Arcades and contents for your full games
You can visit and start them from here

if there are "lock*d" xbla games, u can simply "unl*ck" them using xm360
its simply, clean and not to hard to install

so, why u just copy it to ur HDD and run it ?
why not answering in a allready existing thread about xm360? (so, the xm360 thread f.e. ....)

Just install and run, and think about 'what you see is what you get'

have fun with it

Thanks for your constructive reply! My original post was short and to the point. Then that douche jumped on and made it a flame thread instead of a simple question. I have run the app. I have it on my JTAG'd boxes now. I was just trying to understand its use.

and i tried to bring light in the darkness,
so, if your quest is solved, we should all be happy wink.gif

Let me clarify.

Really xm360 has one purpose, and one purpose only...and that is as a second income for me.  unsure.gif

No, really, here's my thoughts on xm360.

It lets you see your content, and manage it.  Content that it is aware of is:
XBLA, DLC, Title Updates, and Game Saves.

It allows you to unlock XBLA and DLC.
It allows you to sort XBLA by title, release date, rating, etc.
It allows you to launch XBLA titles
It allows you to "backup" TUs to a separate directory that isn't subject to wiping by the 360.
It allows you to delete content.
It will produce "reports" of what content you have and what you are "missing."
It is an ftp server.
It will sync the time on your 360 from the internet.
It will show you various temperatures of your 360.
It knows how to connect to other 360s running xm360 to transfer content between them.
It knows how to connect to a PC running xm360 to transfer content between the PC and the 360 (in a fashion that doesn't force you to understand the silly 360 filenames).

Did I leave anything out?  Probably.
