everyone whoes commenting on "there are more important things to be done" have to shut up and read.
there are several coders.
each coder does their "bit"...
so somebody who does GUI isn't going to add functions or make it more stable, but is going to add more GUI/better gui/stabler gui..

It's like asking your car mechanic to tune your fridge, sure he can probably do it but it isn't his job.

I was just about to clarify this-

We have many people working on core functionality and stability.  Wondro and I have been working on the GUI and trying to get FSD2.0 to mimic NXE in the right areas while expanding it into a versatile tool for skinners/custom theme lovers.

Everything we've added (custom themes, custom backdrops, animations on/off, avatars) can all be controlled by the skinner- they can choose what goes into their skin.  I attack the code from a skinning perspective, and like to make things possible for people with ideas greater than my own.

When FSD2.0 is released, there will be skinners who make amazing stuff that will be used as alternatives to the default theme, if you don't like what we have, feel free to use them happy.gif.

In the mean time, just know, many others are working on this as well- and that I am typically gui enhancements only.

We look forward to a release happy.gif.

Any chance of adding a theme downloader to Freestyle from http://spiffy360.com ?  I can provide an XML feed of the themes or another format.

Or maybe you should 'shut up and read' what was actually said. No where was it stated that people such as MaesterRowen should work on the core of FSD2.0 rather that the GUI.

It was stated that there are a whole lot of Feature Creep happening. It seems as if there is no management or no initial design on this project. It seems as if absolutely everything is trying to be included within the first release

Wow you people should just be grateful that teamFSD is coding this project for the community. 2.0 will be done when it's done, bitching isn't going to speed things up at all.

Yes but try to look at it what they are saying, there are other guys working on the core functionality and that's their job but they aren't finished yet, so there are lots of other people wanting to help out in other areas. So these people like MaesterRowen are working hard on adding visuals while they are waiting for the core features to be complete.

It's not like they are saying, wait wait wait hold up releasing until all the eye candy is done. it's more like let's work hard to put as much into this as possible before the main features are completely rewritten. It takes a lot of time to start from scratch and I applaud their efforts as no other homebrew dash even touches the features they have so far.

We are all anxious to see a release, but I don't blame them for feeling a bit frustrated with everyone nagging about releasing something that even if it looks great, may be very incomplete in the background.

my 2 cents.

All missing the point. My opinions and expressions have nothing to do with releasing FSD 2.0 right now or in the near future
