Changing Video Options
« on: February 24, 2005, 07:15:00 PM »

I've been looking around inside this section for a couple days now and still haven't found a solid answer to what im looking for.  I hear people talking about getting 720 and 1080p resolutions, and I'm just wondering where I can do this.  I've gone through all the settings in XBMC and haven't seen anything.  I went to the ms dash and changed to widescreen format, so now i have the 16:9 option, but nothing concerning high resolution as I have an hdtv monitor.  Any help would be great on this subject.  By the way I have a sony 34" widescreen tv and a 1.6 xbox running a xenium ice and evox dashboard.

You need to have an advanced A/V pack connected to get the 720p/1080i options in the M$ dash.

The Advanced A/V pack only has S-video and composite. You need the HDTV pack to get 720p and 1080i.

@Thegreyghost

Stop ordering the HDTV pack, first make shure your TV supports HDTV.
As I know no Sony widescreen supports it.
Sory if I´m wrong.

There are a couple Sony CRT widscreens which support it.  The KV-30hs420, KV-34HS420 do along with the XBR.  I'm not sure about their projection sets, but I'm sure some do.  Who cares anyway?  They ghost too much for gaming IMHO

CRTs rule! :beer:
