Help! Two Questions About Freestyle And Xex Menu
« on: February 02, 2020, 05:31:00 PM »

hello,

I just got my Xbox JTag and I have some questions that I hope that you can help me them.

The first one is about the screenshots. I know that I need to put than in "fsdata/X game" like the boxart and the icons but I dont know what the size of the picture need to be (I mean to the resolution) and what the screen shot files need to be called?

My second question is about the "Copy DVD" in the Xex menu 1.1 .
I tried to it a few times with few games (orginal and burned) and always it stucking in the middle.
To some one have a solution to this problem or if you can give me name of tool for pc that can copy DVD (If there is)

Thank you

when it comes to copying dvd i just use image browser on a pc to extract the game folders of the iso (and rip the padding) and either ftp to my 360 or use a usb hd...hope the helps...

I guess people like freestyle dash more i dont think copying dvd's is an issue with that dash...

as far as the first q if you use freestyle i think you can just let fsindexer grab screenshots for you...

When you downloaded FreeStyle Dash, there is a windows executable called fsindexer.  Run that.  It will grab all the screenshots for you and put them on your Xbox over FTP.  It's all automatic.  No real need to go out and put art in by hand.

You run it in Windows.  On your computer.....  And it is included in the archive that you must have downloaded from http://code.google.com/p/freestyledash/ to even get freestyledash to run.  You dont run it on your xbox.  It is a windows binary, hence the .exe extension.
