or you can use dash launch... both work very good, but with dash launch you dont have to replace the disc if you want to put in another one. Its your choice smile.gif

same problem  both editions of star wars no matter what only work through god containers  it has something to do with the padded files needing to be there i was reading ths somewhere else  its almost a type of protection  but more or less it uses all the files on the disc so the entire thing needs to be ripped  but i did a partial rip and it worked with iso to god  but full crop didnt work so   best bet iso to god patial crop for the star wars games

Mine works fine.  All I did was rip it was xbox image burn.  Its not in a god container.

For those having problems with games freezing or only booting partially, how did you rip the game?

When using FSD to copy the game to disc sometimes my file count or disc use wouldn't match that of the game.  For the mismatched ones, you either have to break down the game via PC and FTP it over or copy it to the HDD using NXE then use NXE2GOD.  NXE is actually much faster ripping the games because it reads the disk in large pieces rather than file by file.

I still have a few games that nothing will read by any means, but that's just bad media.

Thanks for this!  Could someone tell me the path where the xbox1 iso should be if I'm using a usb drive?  I have the container (folder) named 44430002 and I'm not sure where to put it.  Thanks for helping a newb!

ALmost every game i backup i use image broswer to rip it to folders and then copy them over

i never use freestyle i wasnt aware that it wo uld rip 360 games

so still no luck with star wars  regular edition and the ultimate edition both discs  are the only ones out of countless backups ive made that dont load through fsd ripped with image browser  bascially fully cropped     yet through partial crop god containers they do

Is there a place to add feature requests??

What I would like to see is an option to move content(god files and xbla etc.) from HDD to USB so i dont need to know the folder names etc. also an option to delete content from hdd or usb without knowing the folder names.

star wars (both regular and sith ed) has some files with very long filenames and a lot of "." in it.
they cant be stored on xbox formatted hdd (limitation of file system ? we remember xbox1 also had a very limited number of max characters in a path, it was 43 i think)
(cant be created on any ftp connection)
maybe on cd its exactly the max number of characters allowed and on hdd u have also "games\starwars"
or whereever u saved it i also tried games\sw so short as possible but the files couldnt be stored either
dont remember the file names anymore. but pretty sure just the longest filenames
thats the reason why u need to make god containers....

its the only game ive ever had this problem with

have a nice day everybody

I personally would love it if they would switch from the file manager from a single window to a dual window file manager. Moving files back and forth can be a very teduis process right now and dual window file manager would make this so much easier.

Other than that I am loving the dash so far. Can't wait for all the other new features they plan on adding and really cant wait for the Freestyle NXE dash.

H.A.W.X has the same problem, it seems that some of the filenames on the DVD are longer than the 42 (I think its 42), so the workaround you suggest for a GOD container works fine or you can copy to a fat32 formatted USB drive which has a much greater filename length.

You said it.  My big thing is when i have an XBLA game on my retail xbox 360, i want to copy it over to my JTAG'd system, i dont wnat to have to know the folder code for it, i would rather see something parse the names then offer to move it for me.

This will especially be nice when the update comes out soon for the use of USB drives, then i will just download my purchased XBLA content to that and slap it in my JTAG'd system,  then i just need a copy option to copy it (already name parsed) over to my attached HDD.

Recent posts about file name length are very interesting and may explain some problems I've been having.  For example I have ripped Colin MCrae Dirt 2 using xbox image browser and it will play off an external USB HDD, but the same folder will not play from xbox formatted 250gig.  Infact I cannot even FTP it onto the internal drive as Flash FXP states "file does not exist"!  I had to inject it using Xplorer 360.

Looks like some games will have to stay as GOD's

I never thought of saving DLC to a USB thumb drive then copying to a JTAG after the coming update - no more Xplorer 360  (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)
