You can have ABGX360 extract pretty much every icon from a games default.exe.

I have an external usb hdd with lots of games on it. It worked fine for a few days, but now it just freezes when it's "scanning drives for content". It usually sticks at whatever the last game is in alphabetical order.  I've tried every FSD version, but I get the same results with all. Someone please help. Thanks.

* Copy the proper boot package to hdd1:\Content\0000000000000000\C0DE9999\00007000\ to have it show in the NXE Dashboard.
          o freestyle-usb - package to boot freestyle from usb0:\freestyle\freestyledash.xex
          o freestyle-hdd - package to boot freestyle from hdd1:\freestyle\freestyledash.xex

The problem is, I can't find the "freestyle-usb/hdd" package anywhere in the 1.20 download I got. Anyone know where I can find it?

2.
For XBLA games. Can Freestyle dash read the XBLA games from the games folder on my USB drive? Or perhaps a XBLA games directory? Or does it have to be in that content folder with all the zeros? I'd rather just have it in folders with the names of the games I can read rather than a whole bunch of numbers. Is that even possible?

3.
I'm transferring my existing library of backed up games to an external 1 TB USB HDD. When I use Freestyle dash to copy them over, does it remove the padding or do I have to go in and figure out how to do that manually? It seems most games are over 6GB and I would have thought there would be some smaller than that (on Wii there are a ton that scrub down to less than half the original size). Is there a PC program that can scrub all the folders on the hard drive once I'm done perhaps?

Thanks in advance for any assistance!

1. Just make a QuickBoot shortcut pointing to wherever you have freestyle installed, and then put the shortcut in the code9999 folder. It'll show up on NXE.

2. Pretty sure it has to be in content/0000...I don't know how that's a problem really. What use is there of having a list of the games on your HDD? There's XM360 for managing your XBLA collection.

3. How do you have them backed up? There are two things you can do. You can extract an iso into its individual files using something like Xbox Image Browser (or with the DVD copy function in Freestyle if you have discs instead of isos). This is my preferred way of doing it. It will remove all padding and will also allow you to delete extra language, audio, movie files, etc, to save more space if you wanted. Still, a lot of games are 5-6 GB though. This will also allow you to have a list of each game folder on your HDD like you want.

You can also have games as Games on Demand. Either use iso2God or install in NXE and then use NXE2God.

Awesome, thanks for the answer.

1. I'll give that a try, I hadn't heard of QuickBoot before.

2. Again, hadn't heard of XM360 either. I was manually copying the folders over. I'll give that app a try instead.

3. I've got about 60 discs already burned that I don't have the original iso's for anymore. I've been using Freesytle's copy to dvd function, but I wasn't sure if it pulled out all the extra stuff or not. Since it sounds like it is I'l continue to use it then since it's the simplest option for me.

Thanks again for your help.

XM360 just tells you what you have or are missing. You still have to copy each XBLA game to the HDD.

Oh okay, I must not have understood the tool then. I guess my main question with XBLA stuff is this:

Where does FSD read the XBLA games from? Can I simply copy the games over to a folder on my USB drive called "XBLA Games" and have Freestyle Dash read them from there? Or does it HAVE to be in a content/00000000 (or however many zero's it is) folder?

Are they Verbatim discs that were burned at 2.4x? For ~6GB it takes me about 20-30 minutes to rip a game to HDD. I tried a Maxell disc my brother burnt and it took well over an hour. I always used Verb DL discs, had nothing but bad luck with other brands.

delete freestyle (except youve installed it as container / except the container)
delete the "fsdata" folder on USB root

copy FreeStyle again to USB0 and start it
voilá, should be running again
