Thx guys for yet another release. Your hard work isnt appreciated enuf. Even the smallest apps or emus lead to much bigger things. If you could plz post if you have other projects in the works. There isnt enuf hype in the scene right now because teams are dropping apps and what not without any promotions.
More Hype = More Motivation which in turn = Better Homebrew
Example would be what if a team confirmed now that they had dreamcast games running in alpha. The scene would go crazy. Other devs would take notice and ofcourse try something grand aswell.
Appreciation comes in a lot of different ways (Donations, Helping us out, Idling in are IRC room, and just being fans of are work). I personal disagree with you though on the hype aspect of it though. Hype just leads to pressure being put on developers and sometimes false hope that something will work or even come out.
Are current projects are focused on finishing out XeBoy Advance with support for GB, GBC, and support for GBA. There's alot of work past just porting and the 360 is a complex system like no other. Each developer that works on the 360 is trying to achieve commercial grade applications and games that rival huge companies in comparison, but at the same we have normal day to day life, families, and some of even jobs. (I'm currently unemployed so most of my money for living comes from the government and donations).
We also have plans to finish XeDOSBox, but decided to release the source code to hopefully releave some of the pressure of trying to fix everything myself. I'm the only programmer for Team XeLove so I easily have my work cut out for me on a daily bases.
Other plans for the future are a N64 emulator and helping the rapidly development of the FreeStyleDash.
In no way am I complaining though as I have loved every moment since I've joined the Xbox homebrew scene.

I tried some games:
Commander Keen 4 = perfect
Hocus Pocus = perfect
Rayman = loadtimes slow, ingame good.
Death Rally = doesnt work, hangs dosbox
Good work for a first release, maybe in the next release also support for apple keyboard (my crtl and alt buttons are not working)
Thanks a lot for sharing your results. The crtl/alt/shift issues is know and will be fixed in the next release and hopefully the other bugs that are causing crashes.

Opening the console is not an issue, for this. The idea would be to use a 360 to flash drives - not to simply update it's own f/w. Maybe if it's possible, someone will one day make an app that could support unlocking drives as jungleflasher does.
I'm not sure how the southbridge would work out... when I get a chance to test this, I'll post any results, though.
JungleFlasher and everything else like that are not DOS programs, aka 16bit programs. Just because they run in a console doesn't mean they are actually DOS programs. If you are unsure if a program will ever be supported in XeDOSBox then simple download the official DOSBox and try to get it to run on it. If it doesn't work in DOSBox then it won't work in XeDOSBox.
