I tried launch.xex / launch.ini manually from the root of HDD1 using XeXMenu and I always get a Game Error message.

I put Freestyle Dash inside Appz\freestyle, and I named my freestyle xex, default.xex.  My launch.ini contains only this line in it:  LHdd:\Appz\freestyle\default.xex; # any path based on LUsb: or LHdd:

So what's wrong?

No, not yet.  I just wanted to try to run launch.xex manually.
Doing the xbr patching is another story, hopefully less complicated than it seems  dry.gif

You are correct.

I finally figured out freeboot_xbr_patchbuilder_v2, took a deep breath and used Flash360 to flash updpatch.bin.

works fine with the new 215 release, thanks for that :-)

Hopefully in the near future some genius get the "Guide Menu" hacked. Would really like it to define myself which apps and actions are started from this menu within ...

put freestyle dash onyour USB HDD, start it the first time (through the boot iso), at the first start you can choose where the freestyle dash data should be saved, choose usb, then the dash will scan for any file (that is placed at the correct locations) and will index them on the USB HDD.  After that you can conenct the HDD to your pc and run the Indexer Program

Thanks a lot Sonic, I did that before and it didn't work but I finally figured out what the problem is.  I'll post so maybe it will help someone else out:

It turns out HFS+ formatting will NOT allow you to save any data onto the usb formatted in that way.  I'm not sure why people recommended that to me.  Anyway, I formatted the usb drive to fat32 and all my problems were solved.  When I chose the usb drive to save the fsdata to it just wouldn't do it, now it works.  I did have to save to my 360 HD first THEN copy all the files to the usb HD and set it up that way.  Maybe others could do it directly, I'm not sure.  What I will say is that 95% of the info out there seems to deliberately mislead people so my advice is not to overthink things.  Sonic, your advice was simple and clear and I appreciate that.  I am referring to these types out there whom I believe deliberately mislead people and complicating things on purpose:

Thanks again Sonic for the help...
