i would like to know this too.
we have to make this thread "official" to improvements, so they can follow and update their skins.
or we can just make gryz skin default one! smile.gif

Suggestion - An "Unplayed" section like that of the favorites section. I currently have about 20 games that i have yet to play and i have all of these in my favorites section so that they can be separated from the rest of my games. I dont actually have any of my favorite games in my favorites section. A separate section for unplayed games would be great so that i can put unplayed games in that section and put my actual favorite games in my favorites section. It's just a suggestion and to add to it, it wouldnt hurt anything or anybody because just like the favorites section you dont have to add anything to it if you dont want to.

Other note - love the new features and its great to see this project continuing because this is definitely the best alternative dash out there!!!!!!!

Great would also be if the indexer also gets Screens and Covers form xbox.jp cause there are some that misses like Raider Fighters Aces that are on Xbox.jp. Also from all shooters like Death Smiles and others ....
They are not saveable cause protected by silverlight. Or is there a Way around Silverlight to save the graphics?

Thanks that you continue this great Dash smile.gif

nup the xex has the new code in it and to display them you need the new skin files to show them so basically you need the hole thing.

Which skins are compatible with this?

I'd just like to throw out a thank you to the guys working on this. I use it quite regularly and it's definitely improved my experience w/ the 360. Especially big thanks to axc97c -- thanks for making starting it up man. I'll gladly donate if you guys put up some sort of link that's approved by axc97c -- want to make sure it's going to the right people at the right places.

I think this is the right one to keep working on. I'm not the best dev in the world -- I'm more an electrical / hardware engineer, but I'm looking into learning some coding and hopefully can help out in the future once I've got some better bearings. XeXMenu team seems to be doing a good job too -- thanks to them for their hard work and free releases -- but I really think open source is the way to go here and our best bet for the future -- especially considering JTAG can only be done on older consoles so our resources on personnel are limited in interest.

Maybe we can find a new way to JTAG but I'm not going to expect it anytime soon. If not, I think open source is the only way to survive.

One last thing... Any chance you guys could get some official Freestyle forums going where people can post skins and tutorials and whatnot? Maybe an IRC chat would be great too -- I wouldn't mind Idle'ing in it. If this stuff already exists my apologies -- could someone lead me in the right direction? My primary job personally is online marketing for a fortune 500 company -- trust me these things will go a long way. I'd like to help build a community for the future of all these projects; to keep them sustained and properly going for a while to come if we're to not find a way to jtag for a very long time. I believe things will eventually stagnate without a proper communication hub and infrastructure if we're unable to JTAG or exploit modern consoles for quite some time to come.

It'd be REALLY nice if one of the admins on this forum would allow some sub-sections for us to use on xbox-scene. Of course would have to follow the rules but I don't think we'd be breaking anything that would piss anyone off.

Regardless -- Once again -- Thanks guys.

I'm more partial to the Aquatica skins myself -- hopefully they'll all get updated smile.gif

I am hoping once we work out an official release to 10.0 that we can get the skinners to update. There is still a lot of changes going on with the menus right now.

Amazing we need more open source apps for the 360. I will see what I can do to help the project along

To me this would be the closest yet to any knid of XBMC360 / Boxee style blade I think we will see, which of coarse im all for!  Especially if the indexer could do media files too blink.gif

could someone give me a little more clarity on how this works.

i went to the google source code page and downloaded the zip.
i unzipped it and placed the freestyle folder at the root of the hd.

what i would like to do is boot from the cd image and then have it index the games on the thumb drive i have plugged in.

so i plugged in the thumb drive into the xbox.

but i'm not seeing where i download the iso if i want to boot from the cd?
did i miss that on the page?

and is it as simple as running the cd in the xbox and it will scan the hard drive and record the games to the thumb drive.  then i run the indexer on the computer (thumb drive) to get the artwork?

sorry for so many questions.  just stuck and would like to get this to work!
 uhh.gif
thanks

yes if you want to use a thumb drive you need to put in a folder called games then another folder with the name of the game and then the extracted game data.

go to the freestyle 1.08 thread and download the complete package. the one on google is just an update. that will have the iso in it as well as FS indexer
