Team XeDev released a new version of Dash Launch, which will allow you to boot your Xbox360 directly into homebrew software:

waits for bootanim to finish, then launches a xex or con as defined in ini file (you don't see NXE dash)

v0.02 changes
- added a small delay so XBR users who want to launch a con from launch.xex can
- implemented a simple ini file parser and fileExist
- auto detects LIVE and XEX2 to use the appropriate launch method
- fails to dash reliably now

the ini file:
-it's possible to have two ini files, one on hdd and one on a usb device, the USB ini takes priority over the hdd one, so console behaviour can be changed by adding/removing usb device (** it is NOT recommended to launch USB con/xex from hdd ini **)
-MUST be plain ASCII text, the first character of the file MUST be the start of a path to a xex or con, the last character after the path must be a semicolon ; there are no spaces allowed and everything after the semicolon will be ignored.

Nice, any chance you guys could make it so when you exit back to dashboard with guide button, it loads launch.xex so it doesn't boot back to NXE?

I don't think this is a good idea. How would you ever get back to the dashboard?

theres many ways you still could get back.

Like making another button go back to nxe, or deleting dash launch itself. Edit the ini file?

If you've already patched your nand with the .01 files, you can simply use .02 launcher.xex/launcher.ini to get this working.

For those that had the black screen before, this launcher.xex fixes the problem.

when you press the big X - you can go to the quick launch menu, press over once and there is xexmenu and once more and there is freestyle.
I select one of those, thus when i exit a game, I can exit into my dash of choice.

now if xexmenu would list nxe2god containers in the gamelist...

Try freestyle dash.

Listing them is easy enough, launching them on the other hand... why list something you can't launch?

with quicklaunch 1 i had the black screen issue and ended up having to use the region free patch only,tried this and it launched first time so thanks for the update and glad to report no issues on my 16mb xenon

OK i think i royally F***ED this up i used the ready version yesterday that i downloaded from sky i was assuming that the patches.s file was the patch itself in v2 so i just renamed it updpatch.bin and then wrote it with flash360 now it just boots to a black screen ive have taken the power cord out the hdd and it still does the same thing i can get it to boot into xell but thats about all is there anything i can do to fix this short of reflashing the whole nand again as i didnt do it the first time and sent it off to get jtaged any help would be appreciated
