Hey, im not sure exactly what to call this thread, but most people probably know of Dash Launch already. It is great.

What im getting to is, if you have used it, you will notice that when you press the guide button, the NXE dash guide menu comes up. Now, if your running XeXMenu or Freestyle and playing a game, the only way to get back to XeXMenu or Freestyle directly is by CD, even with Dash Launch.

Maybe someone could create custom guide button menu's for freestyle or xexmenu, so that instead of the NXE guide button menu coming up, either a freestyle or xexmenu one comes up, so you can get right back to either dashboard, and not have to use a disc to go back while playing a game, emulator, etc.

Maybe this is too early to suggest, but im just putting it out there. It would complete the whole "custom dashboard" thing.

Also, would this have to be patched into dash launch, or could it just be incorporated into XeXMenu and Freestyle?

Really? if we choose to exit to dashboard, it will load NXE and not the custom dash?


That´s sad... I thought it will always load hdd1:\\launch.xex right before NXE if present.


That sucks balls, just like using the CD... I've been struggling getting it to work. Can't get past Boot Animation..  

Anyways, if this the same as "Start to CD, and my CD has a dashboard loader" than(this needs to be updated!) endthan

Yeah, it loads back to nxe, unless you use a disc and press Play Game On Disc. Maybe it will be done on next release, i hope.

disc is my current method also.

Only time I use original dash components is for video library which I suppose is a seperate XEX. which in this case if they find a way to get it to go to freestyle from the guide button I could probably launch video library from guide button and/or hopefully implement a link to the video\music library xex's from with in freestyle.

It would be cool if the guide menu had it's own skin also, instead of the nxe one.
