trying to upload install the bin and getting write permissions error when I FTP it to the "/" directory the "root" directory.... what am I doing wrong?

quick question: if I want to use freestyle dash with loading games from USB, would I have to install the usb loader version, or would i be able to install freestyle on my hard drive and load games from USB?

Seriously how do you put the files onto the root directory??

I am using FlashFXP with/without passive mode, logged in with flash/flash and still nothing! ahhhhhh

no you can install to hdd freestyle scans each storage device for games. altho keep in mind this is just a launcher you need to get freestyle from its thread and have it up and working before installing this.

Choochoo. are you using xexmenu or freestyle for ftp?
if freestyle have you set it up for the proper ip?
also try filezilla thats what I use.

No you don't have to use the usb version, just install freestyle to your hdd and you can just use the hdd version of the auto launcher.

where can i find the the region free patch? mine hangs with the one i got and I dont have a dvd drive to fix it

if there is a problem with the launch.xex I don't get why some people's work and others hang?

ftp name/password should be xbox/xbox
and u just put it in hdd1  or Hdd:\\

I just verified that this is true. It works fine with total commander but not filezilla. Freestyle Dash's ftp is working with either program though.

I use filezilla all the time. with the 360 and xexmenu.
you just have to go into the options and set it to active mode.
works fine

This does work but I just find total commander better because you can set it to use passive mode and it will still work with xexmenu
