Tut: Display Temps In Freestyle Dashboard!
« on: February 22, 2010, 03:27:00 PM »

Heres a quick tut on how to get temp reads in fs dashboard:

Requirements:

some very basic knowledge
a Jtagged 360
Freestyle Dashboard v1.09

NOTE:

ALL CODE IS CREDITED TO MATTIE, and Anth0ny56! I had NO production in this code whatsoever, he just said that I could share it!

Step one: Download the FreestyleDashboard.xex that MATTIE has edited. from here: http://www.mediafire.com/?imdol1t42nm

Step two: Go into your Freestyle Dash v1.09 folder then to Freestyle folder and extract the new FreestyleDashboard.xex into that folder, overwriting the old one.

Step three: Launch Freestyle dashboard and go under System Status, and it displays your temps!

Other: I'm pretty sure this will also show GOD packages under games.

Im not sure how long mediafire hosts for, so if anyone could give a more permenant link just incase, that would be great.

Credits to Mattie, and Anth0ny56, also credit to ax97c for creating this amazing dashboard!

Also if you change your mind about letting me host this, just msg me, ill take it down.

its really great that the god games are shown yet. but is it only my problem, that the nxe games wont covered? no boxart, screenshots and descriptions are shown, only the preview works, but all files are correctly listet in the artwork folders :_/

I would try re Indexing all your games and just click no when it asks to only scan incomplete games.

I agree, the dashboard was open source. Now they take code that shows the temp that has been released (again open source) and add them and close the source? This seems in bad taste.

I also am not a fan of taking open source, adding something EXTREMELY simple then closing source.  I guess if you want source of what they are using, just read the forum on how to add temperature, there's your missing code. (Along with tying it into the FreeStyle menus)

Opensource is good; Other Teams can add code and use code!

With Opensource Code it's much easyer to code a Mediaplayer, because Team A find a way to Use Codec and Team B find a way to play decoded Codec  smile.gif
