Also, MS wasn't banning the profiles of those that were gamerscore cheating. They reset their gamerscore to 0. Hell, if they had you on a modded console, they still didn't ban your profile, they banned the system. Why would it be any different? I'd imagine they would reset your gamerscore to 0 for having the Emu achievements, but to actually ban a profile, I don't think that would happen.
Regardless of the consequences, many of us still transfer profiles back and forth between JTAGed consoles and stock consoles. For that reason, there are many that may not choose to enjoy this excellent software (including myself), for fear of the achievements causing problems. For those of you willing to have a separate profile on the JTAGed console, this is great.
I'm not trying to start anything here, just trying to figure out the point of all of this. What are the point of achievements if you aren't going to go on Live? As far as I can tell there are none. If that IS the case, then why add achievements in just for the hell of it.
Anyway, I'm not a coder. In a previous post, I said that I am choosing not to use this software, not because it isn't great, but because it doesn't match my needs. It just seems that adding achievements is extra work, or even that a version with and a version without achievements could be made.
