Here is an updated video of the theme- a little more developed happy.gif

that is cool but you will need to make your own graphics as ms owns the right to thoughs (no legal) bar that am loving it better than me at this haha.

my video just to show the animations.

thanks...

The graphics used in the theme so far, are either from the original Freestyle Dash theme (the background) or google searching, nothing should be microsoft originals except maybe the idea (and those items that are originally supplied with freestyle anyway).

happy.gif so hopefully no problems.

Sounds like node has that figured out do we should be all good! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

I do.  Now I've got to get myself a build environment for FreeStyle, and get connected to this SVN...All while I'm in the middle of trying to wrap up another XM360 release for this weekend...

I'll do my best to get my stuff into the SVN ASAP.

Alright to simplify things.. i am not sure what is happening with the other SVN i never got access myself and i feel like i would like to have other people contribute to my version.

SO if you are interested just PM me your email address and what you want to add (like node adding FTP) and i will grant you access.

I am uploading my code now.

FreeStyleDash SVN

maybe best if we all get together on irc to have all stuff merged on 1 svn
maybe even after that have a proper fsd 1.10 release....

I think it would be wonderful if we could commit everything into one SVN.

I think we will need to make sure it's accessible to people who want to contribute, i also believe that Googles SVN looks cleaner and offers a download location for updates. I am not sure how the rest of the community feels, but we have not had a lot of luck getting information or updates into the other SVN.

I am more than happy to add you (and you can add your changes) to the SVN i created, but in the end i will go with this the way the community wants it concluded.

Again if you want to join the google one, send me a PM with a google enabled email address...

The support is there we just don't have a way to download them with the indexer. As there is no set place to find that information.

Al you have to do is (depending on how they are installed) copy the images to the correct folder.

If they are XeX then copy the images to <device>:\fsdata\artwork\<application name>

I believe the images should be
boxart.jpg for boxart
ss<number>.jpg for screen shots, and just keep numbering them.
background.jpg for background
icon.jpg for icon (if icon doesn't exist it will take it from the file itself.)

then in the content.xml file edit the entry

      <images sscount='5' icon='1' boxart='1' background='1' />

sscount = the number of screen shots you had.
icon boxart and background are binary Boolean. 1 means the file exists 0 means it doesn't.

hope this helps.

Adding downloads for the updates would be a bad idea since it is built with the XDK. I would only host the source code if I were you.

And JQE I think he means in-game screenshots (like the emulators) which would likely not be possible since the game isn't being emulated by the dashboard.

I agree we couldn't do screenshots as our code stops running when the app loads.

But that being said he said "cover / screen " support which implies the cover art and screenshots for the application.

the only way to get IGS (in game screenshots) is to do like it was done on xbox1, inject sshot feature to the game xex (can be done by a permanent patch or maybe fake dlc or maybe "on the fly" patching (certainly hard to do) or add this function to the "guide menu" or add this feature to XBR like it was a debug nand image. (to use the xdk screenshot tool)

lot of way to get it but they are hard to do.

@JQE : is it possible to get CPUTemp GPUTemp etc when they are in a group ? if yes how because i have grouped them to use a loop and they don't work anymore sad.gif

I found getting them in groups was unstable. If you want to do it the big thing is you have to define the size of your Temp variable

float temp[4];

not float * temp;

Is there a reason you want them in a group instead of individually?

i have grouped them because it's easier to animate all of them once and because they have a "loop" function
(changing CPUTemp > GPUTemp > etc > etc > get back to CPUTemp > GPUTemp)

i'm gonna try another method and hope this one will work without changing the float temp

i think you 2 are talking about different things. JQE is talking about the code in xex, getting temps as een array,
while _n3o_ is talking about grouping the text items in the skin....
