Help With Xexmenux And Xplorer360
« on: February 10, 2010, 07:45:00 PM »

My 360 is jtag'd and I am attempting to use a 120GB hard drive on it.  The 20GB hard drive I was using worked fine.  Anyway, the issue is the when I hook up the 120GB to my PC via the xecuter kit and use Xplorer360, there is nothing showing in partition3 of the hard drive.  However, when I hook up the drive to the xbox, there is a bunch of the demo360 XBLA games on the drive.  Why can't I see them in Xplorer360?  Also, when I attempt to put XexMenuX on the hard drive in partition3, it does not show up in the NXE menu at all?  The XBLA demos do show up when I connect to hard drive to th xbox and explore the hard drive via  a CD of XeXmenu.  Any ideas???

sounds like you're using the wrong version of xplorer360.

There are umpteen versions about patched for different size hdds.  Not sure if allowed to give links.

the one I had that works with 120gb is Xplorer360_extreme2 and sure there is another 120gb compatable patched one too.

I made similar mistake after putting a 320gb drive in......BUT the problem I had there....after copying files within xplorer360....was that when adding files - it screwed up the partition - actually reducing the hdd space reported as available back to a 120gb equivalent (from having 320gb space remember).  So in the end had to format the partition 3 again.

Soooo....best/recommended to reformat that partition 3 in the 360.  And then use the correct version of xplorer 360 that can actually see data in the 3rd partition.

Also take a look for FatXplorer and XPort - they're also other alternatives for reading the hdd on a pc.

Xplorer360 Extreme2 en.exe for 20-120GB
Xplorer360_09b6_250gb.exe for 250GB
