Thanks for the update its awesome to hear of the longer goal's of this project I completely understand why those are put off for now while the more important issues are looked at. I wish I was able to work well on this myself, I've started a little bit of coding but nothing more ambitious than a hello world atm still have to start someplace.

I also agree with keeping separate from freestyle, if everyone worked on just 1 dash sure you may have a very good dash but separate projects like this gives more innovation and idea's.

here you can see the new game tab, with filtering system, exclusion list (in example, i show how i hide snes from the list). I also added video preview. You can view emulator tab, with editing of a shotcut (note that you can now choose xex AND pirs (like GOD) file). Virtual keyboard is also visible (a smooth animation for show/hide)

Is there any chance of implementing Xbox Live Arade Game Playback from a USB Drive like in Freestyle Dash?

That's the only feature I'm missing. Great Dashboard though.

Allready tested it and works fine, so far.

So i can completly switch over to your Dashboard. I like the "retro" look compared to Freestyle Dash.

Tested, but with some problems:

· Anything shows on the App tab (path is correct)
· Don't work the extraction of the HD or the boxart.
· Freezes when Spanish language is selected (had to overwrite to restore)

Otherwise works fine and it's the best dash for now.


For a future release I have some suggestions:

· In the Games tab all is mixed, and go to the filters every time to change Arcade, 360 Game, etc becomes annoying.
  Something like the Emulators tab, a place where you can select a section (with custom icon: XBLA, 360 DVD, etc) to go inside and see only the filtered content will be more practical and better looking.

· Auto hide the content like boxart or video preview if not found instead of show a generic cover or a black box.

· Auto hide devices not found (like memcards or empty usb ports) in order to clean the file manager to a more comfortable navigation.

What do you think about?

I have yet to install a homebrew dash, partly because I am lazy and partly because XBR + XexMenu works fine for my needs.  An Mplayer port will certainly change that.
