So, I got the Xbox XDK for now. But, what's next? - How to compile?
I can't find any tutorials for this or even a command prompt.

After my installation I got 2 files that I'm able to launch:
Xbox360 Neighborhood
and
Xbox360 Command Prompt.

Neighborhood doesn't seem to be needed, because it's only meant for dev consoles.

OK first. Do you have Visual Studios 2005 SP1?

If that is installed FIRST then install the XDK this will integrate (full install) with 2005.
Then you go to the Freestyle folder and launch the .sln file.

Once there go to the scene folder and find main.cpp and change the part i listed previously. Then go to build and click on build solution.

At the risk of sounding arrogant, if these instruction are to "vague" then compiling code may not be for you.

That's really no problem for me.  smile.gif

Thanks a lot for your little instruction.

This is definitely the coolest dash out there. But as someone inhere said, the Xbox360 hacking scene is only in it's infancy. Cant wait to see how it will grow the next year..!

One question thou. In order to download the media contents related to each game, i know that i need internet access to my Xbox. I have blocked the internet access and only allowed LAN connections. But what are the risks of "getting online" with my Jtagged Xbox? And ofcourse not logging onto Xbox live!!

And is it possible to play "Xbox live arcade games" safe on a Jtagged Xbox?

To answer your questions, the "Media" content for each game is added by the FSIndexer. You run it on a PC that has network access to your xbox. This will add the pictures and boxart for each game.

As for arcades they are "safe" to play as long as they are played offline.

If you go on Xbox Live you will be banned.

If you wish to enable internet access to your xbox and still keep it off xbox live go into systems settings under family settings and disable xbox live.

As for banning, there is a chance it will corrupt your drive other than that, it just means you can't go on xbox live...

Any one else having a problem where Freestyle Dash will freeze while it is scanning to build up the games you have on the hard drive? I have a 2 TB drive that it will freeze when it gets to a certain number of games. I have about 60 games on it and freezes about half way through.  It seems to freeze after a certain  number of games because if i delete the game it freezed on it will then freeze at the next game.

I have the same exact problem. Someone please help!
