Vnc Client
« on: January 22, 2010, 10:02:00 PM »

I made a VNC client just for testing. It will only work on "dev" boxes

I will also release the source after a bit of cleaning up..

It is also discussed on http://www.se7ensins.com/forums/xbox-360-discussion/

Supports the chatpad, not tested with normal keyboard.

This is ONLY a prerelease, there IS bugs.
But it does seem to work well so perhaps someone finds it useful even in this state  (IMG:style_emoticons/default/blink.gif)
If there is any problems you might take a look in the debug output for clues..

Please report back if you find any problems.
So far I have only tested it on tightvnc 1.3.10 running on vista.

Yes

BTW, there is no GUI to change the settings(like hostname and port), instead the settings are found in config.txt

Downloadlink might be found on the other forum, Or may I link directly from this site? (I don't think so..)

The other way around.. You can connect to the pc from the xbox, good for webbrowsing etc.

App works great I knew this chat pad would come in handy for something. Only Major problem/bug I'v seen  is the right thumb stick scroll seems to stick in the last direction you scroll. I tried a few different controllers with the same issue. Looking forward to updates and an official release.

Nice to hear that someone has tried it and that it does work for other people than me biggrin.gif
I definetely have to finish the project, and release the source to comply with the GPL, it is afterall based on libvncclient.

What vnc server did you use? Did you try to use a password?

Try to increase the right stick deadzone in config.txt, that should solve your scrolling issues.
And if someone runs in to the same problem with the cursor then just increase the left stick deadzone.
