What's your point?  That is already taken care of.  (the scrapeMS.pl file adds that entry)

------------

Well, I worked for many hours yesterday...during most of which I had software that didn't even compile.  You see, adding DLC properly has led me down a path that is mostly a very large re-write of the code.  When I wrapped it up last night, I was back to the functionality of the original XBLA Unlocker by Dstruktiv.  So, it scans, presents the list, and allows you to unlock (except now the unlock code is the updated DLC aware unlock.)

However, during the scan it also keeps track of all DLC content that it finds along the way...So, my next steps (starting tomorrow, as I won't have any time today) are to go back and make sure that the collection manager still works with XBLA titles as it did before.  There's likely to be something broken in there after the rewrite, and it's likely to take some real time to fix it all (not having an xbox devkit makes this stuff really hard to get right...)

By the weekend, I hope to have put in some real time and be able to release something that at least allows you to browse your DLC, and unlock it.  Collection Management for DLC comes after that (still based on the assumption that it is do-able without unique titleIDs for DLC).

I don't envy that job - but amazed you've got as far as you have so far with sorting out DLC collections as it must be a HUUUUGGEEEEE list, and not well organised to find I expect.

Have a good rest then come back with a fresh head and get coding smile.gif  Need anyone to test the files then we're here smile.gif

I'm sure you already know it too anyhows - but don't forget - a lot of DLC in order for it to work tends to need certain updates installing to the cache folder too

Not much I can do about that.  All I can do is see what DLC I find after searching...there's no way to know whether it will work or not...  It's a lot like the XBLA XNA titles.  You might have them, but they're not going to work (since they require a live connection).

As far as collecting and organizing all available DLC...the marketplace already does it for me.  :-)  I just scrape it from them.  Presenting it is another matter, and I've yet to figure out how to do it.

QUOTE(dstruktiv)

XM360 was designed to be an all in one tool to manage all Xbox 360 content. It still is, but it’s got a whole lot more ambitious. I now intend for it to do all of the original stuff, but to be a complete replacement dashboard as well. It’s a very early beta at the moment and will be some time before there’s a public release but here’s a WIP image of it running the 360:

Maybe time to work together? And get this out asap!

Where have you been?

Dstruktiv and I *are* working together.  It's no coincidence that they share the same name...

He's off working on the new look/feel dashboard replacement (the hard work, as far as I'm concerned!), while I'm busy with the idea of collection management.  You can be sure that anything I add into the existing one will be handed off to Dstruktiv for inclusion once he is ready for release.  I have very little time to commit to 360 development, so I'm happy to work on the small things. ;-)

Well now you got XM360 (PC version / Content manager) / your XM360 (based on XBLA unlocker with added Collection / content manger) and now XM360 as replacement dashboard (with build-in content manager?) all with the same name but different apps..kinda confusing, right? I meant with working "together" more like concentrating on one app or better dash.. But seeing your answer you were allready doing that..Sorry and thanks for the hard work!

@node: A quick note about v0.5.

I usually have a USB HDD connected to my 360 and I use a flash drive to move stuff, try new things etc. (FTP not working here yet, gotta try a different cable).
Anyway, in Xexmenu the HDD gets Usb0 and the flash drive gets Usb1. Previously, when I ran xm360 from the flash drive, the report and exclude files were written in the root of the flash drive itself. Now, with v0.5, they were written in the root of the USB HDD (I guess because it's the "first" connected USB device). Of course it's a reeeeally small issue, but... was it intentional? Could you revert this behaviour? Thanks, as always.

As far as I know, there's no way for me to know which is which...

What it does is find the first USB device that it can, and writes to that one...

CODE

    XU::unMap("usb:");

    if (XU::Map("usb:","\\Device\\Mass0") != S_OK ) {
        if (XU::Map("usb:","\\Device\\Mass1") != S_OK ) {
            if (XU::Map("usb:","\\Device\\Mass2") != S_OK ) {
                return;
            }
        }
    }

Hmm, so the strange behaviour was to write to my flash drive, even though (at least according to Xexmenu, but also in plugging order) it was device 1 and the USB HDD was device 0?

Yes, I assume so.  That code hasn't changed.  I really can't think of a precise way of placing the report file.  Unless I first look for some *other* file to see if it exists as a sort-of target marker?  If I can't find the target file, then I could revert to "write to the first USB drive I can mount."

MY biggest problem is downloading the arcade games.  Is it safe to take my JTAG console's hard drive then plug it in my stock xbox hop on live and download my games?  It just makes it really easy because then i never have to worry about moving folders with random hex names, i just download using my stock xbox then use xm360 to unlock them on my JTAG'd xbox.  Or is there a better way that i am clearly no seeing for obtaining xbox live arcade games?  Thanks!

Got it, instead I had assumed the app had some kind of awareness of the device it was running from and wrote its files there. Anyway, as I already said I would prefer it that way, but it's such a small thing that I'm not sure it's worth implementing explicitly.
