while I've been going through process of swapping my 120gb drive for a 320gb one, I believe i've found why xm360 may have been showing so many more than there was in the list.
While I was extracting the contents from partition 3 with xplorer360, I had an error message (can't remember exact message).
On checked through, in the \\Content\0000000000000000 directory....there were some subdirectories with matching names.
eg,
\\Content\0000000000000000\584109D5
and another
\\Content\0000000000000000\584109D5
Obviously on the pc this causes problems with xplorer360 trying to extract the contents to a temp folder before copying to the destination folder as it would try to overwrite an identical file.
Looking inside these folders on xplorer360 and both contents are showing up as if the data is in there too.
the question is how did the data get duplicated (IMG:

I'm thinking the first couple of them may have been when I was first trying out xexmenu...and then finding out that Cut and Paste don't work....perhaps its then attempted and failed and maybe left over a corrupt/empty file behind.
The main thing I think has happened.....I downloaded the demos in a few batches....and so copied them over in a few batches.....mostly with xplorer 360 and some within xexmenu. Some games may have been duplicated in each batch too
Whichever one its been has obviously though decided not to overwrite the data, but to somehow manage to write to the mft or somewhere a duplicate folder name...and so screwing it up.
As a result I had to extract the sodding partition C bit by bit, leaving out any of the duplicates to retransfer again later.....so presumably once this is done - the number xm360 finds should match or closely match the number showing on the dashboard
soooo...moral of the story is.....if the numbers dont seem right - check your folders in the 0000000000000000 for duplicate folder entries
