Thanks for your work on resolutions. About Super Contra, would it be a reasonable solution to decide that the game version where the internal ID matches the title ID is good and the other one is bad and ignored or somehow flagged?

No, since I have yet to see one where the internal ID is correct.

version 0.5 is out [IRC release, not posted in the usual places yet] (beta testing seems good so far)

No major changes...but it now supports all screen resolutions.

I forgot to fix the super contra issue (not that there is a good solution, anyway...).

DLC is next on my list.

that's wicked... will give the new one a shot tomorrow.

Really excited about there being some sort of DLC manager, especially if it can show it sorted in sections etc, based on game and such further down the line....sounds like a mammoth task though, especially when you get to the music games (maybe best to leave the music ones til last tongue.gif)

So what actually happens then if I may ask, when xbox stop selling certain games (I know theres been at least 1 or 2 games since withdrawn but dont remember for life of me what they were)....would they then no longer scrape?....and therefore not show up as missing titles on the console?

how do you mean? You mean that the only files you've seen online are ones that have been tampered with/yarisswapped already so unable to see a true id before tamper?

to partially answer my question about games that have since been removed...

a few games here have been "delisted"

http://en.wikipedia....ve_Arcade_games

Lost cities
double dragon
Speedball 2: Brutal Deluxe
yaris
EA Sports Fantasy Football Live Draft Tracker
EA Sports Fantasy Football Live Score Tracker

Can confirm that they're NOT scraped so dont show up as missing titles.

Mind I can understand most of them things being delisted, especially the EA Sports thing....but speedball and double dragon are classics...sheesh

Could it be possible to have it automatically append those titles to the csv after pulling off a new scrape?

Simple to do...see scrapeMS.pl  (you'll have to fake the rating and the release date)

Oh, I see. Would a bit of hex editing fix that?

If you need any help testing this let me know. I have a pretty extensive collection of rock band, guitar hero, lips DLC that I'm itching to organise

Cheers

First thanks for this great little app.

Do you also gonna support Indie games / Unofficial releases or only official "US" XBLA releases?

By DLC support do you mean DLC only for XBLA games or for all DLC. I ask this since I only use this app for managing my XBLA collection on my Xbox 360 seeing DLC for Xbox 360 games may clutter the purpose of the app in my opinion..I see the purpose of XM360 (PC version) as content manager but not so much for your version of XM360. I see this app more as XBLA loader or like as you describe as "Collection Manager". Maybe a separate app for those people who want to manage their content on the Xbox 360 instead of on the PC. What's the opinion of others about this? Thx

I think the US site scraping actually may pick up any non-US details.

For example there is 2 versions of buku sudoku.  One of them has japanese writing on the MS dashboard when its installed.

Don't suppose you know the name of any japanese specific releases do you, if any exist?

No, since I have yet to see one where the internal ID is correct.

I took a look at a container for this game and found that in ArcadeInfo.xml (I assume that's where you're reading the internal ID) and it says
CODE

which is the binary form of 5841081a, which in turn seems to be the "official" ID as seen on xbox.com.

@node21, what do you think of this? Is ArcadeInfo.xml the place where you read the ID? And is it there that you found values different from 1480656922?

I don't read any XML... at offset 0x360 (coincidence?) in the package is the titleID.  Maybe that is where ArcadeInfo.xml ends up?  I dunno.

Got it. I took another look at the Super Contra container and the ID at offset 0x360 is the correct one: 5841081A. So I simply got the "right" version of the game?

Also, I wouldn't mind getting the same PM xkilla7680 got. wink.gif
