Great app, many thanks.

What would be great would the ability to lauch unlocked titles directly from NXE but are stored on a USB hard drive.

I have just downloaded 18 gigs worth!

cheers - downloading active perl to try now

What I mean with within xm360 though....is that xm360 finds about 20 MORE 'xbla' titles than the 360 main dashboard even discovers...not the other way round.  and thats with nothing held on the usb hdd.  Surely then there should be an equal amount showing on the main dashboard?

Ha!, I actually had the same issue... That's why, in version 0.5, the resulting report file also includes titles that you "HAVE", and the full path to those titles.  What I found, after adding that information, was that I had some of my titles one extra level deep in the folder structure on the internal HDD.  XM360 will happily search for them, and it does find them...and I can even launch them....but the NXE dash can't see them.  The report let me fix the ones that had that problem. :-)

The work you guys are doing is great keep it up this is nice. But to be quite honest. Why not jus add this stuff to normal dash? Im sure it isnt that "easy" but theres not much wrong with the dash that couldnt be tweeked.
Layouts colors, buttons all at your disposal. Jus add these programs as Apps. You guys are talented and could do better with a big head start like the stock dash. Thats all im saying think about it smile.gif

Um, maybe because Microsoft hasn't responded to our requests for the source code for the NXE dash?   rolleyes.gif

Edits, renaming, changing shortcuts, alterations. None of which require source code. Guess the challenge is intimidating.Funny unleash didnt use need source code blink.gif

Aha that could make sense perhaps.  Hope you plan to release 0.5 soon so I can test it out and tidy it up.  I may be that I downloaded some demos from miscellaneous sites.  A couple of games didnt show up so downloaded them elsewhere, and got them back...but in some cases I did see that a folder gameid# already existed inside the 0000000000000000 folder, so when spotted deleted the one that didnt seem to work and put the working version in.  So looks like just a bit of housecleaning to do once got hold of your new version wink.gif

On another tangent...I'm struggling with Super Contra...kinda.

I'm not at home at the moment, so can't remember the numbers, but I know theres 2 versions of Super Contra.  One which has a cc at the end of the game id.

XM360 reported that I was missing the OTHER super contra file (the one that doesnt end in CC)

So I downloaded it from elsewhere and put it in the folder.  Still only 1 super contra listed and xm360 still reports I'm missing the same file, but seems to think I have the cc one.

I've searched a little and did see that rocket riot uses the same folder name for some strange reason....so think I need to check if I have 2 files in that folder or something - so maybe delete that rocketriot/supercontra folder and try it again

Hi node, thanks a lot for your work on this tool. Do you plan to add support for non-1080p screens in your next release? That would be great.

If theres any way to verify the crc of the xbla games that would be perfect.

As I've just realised when trying the demo of Serious Sam out, that there is no icon on the dashboard for selecting the game.  Which makes me wonder if I need to get the demo from a better source....as I've been reading over the last few hours and I see lots of games seem to get leaked from places such as PartnerNet early and could be alpha builds etc which want to avoid really, especially as that could have problems such as buggy code killing consoles, on top of other simple things like screwing up your profile cos of it having history of an official aswell as the leaked version in the profile which never intended to use.. Shame we can't just download them directly the demos from ms's servers smile.gif

According to Kingla's archive, Super Contra and Rocket Riot don't share a folder name:
CODE

5841081a    Super Contra
584108CC    Rocket Riot

May I ask what's the full folder name where you're experiencing the collision?

in the csv file, both the one in the package, and when freshly scraped with the perl script, there is reference to 2 Super Contra's

5841081a   25/07/2007   14   1688   Super Contra
584108cc   25/07/2007   14   1688   Super Contra

Wolfenstein 3d, I know there is 2 versions of that game, one I think was for german release..so guessing it must be similar reason for Super Contra too.

I don't have access to my 360 until later tonight or tomorrow now (bloody kids have pinched it!!), but I believe that in the 584108cc folder I have the Rocket Riot game, and in the 5841081a I definately have the Super Contra game.

However the missing title report only shows me as missing the file Super Contra (5841081a), which I find odd seeing as that one is definately there.

Best way I can check when get console back is delete both the Super Contra and Rocket Riot folders, then generate the report again to see if its showing all 3 as missing, then put in each one by one

Yes, I do...but it's taking more time than I expected.

There isn't a definitive source of the CRCs that I know of...but my understanding is that they (the developer?) really did forget to include an icon in Serious Sam.

So, in version 0.4 I specifically add 3 title ids.  Check the scrapeMS.pl file to see them...they are pretty clear.  However, it turns out that Soduko and Wolfenstein are the only 2 where this will work...Super Contra is just plain f*cked.  You see, XM360 reads the titleIDs from *inside* the package...not the directory it is in (since you can put them just about anywhere...) The problem is that Super Contra's internal ID *does not always match* Super Contra's title ID as described my Microsoft on the marketplace web site...

Yes, there definitely is something weird with Super Contra. Even here it reports as missing but it's definitely there.

About the non-1080p issue, I understand you do work in 1080p so this will sound sub-optimal to you, but do you think you could make the whole app 720p, which would also work acceptably on 1080p?

Just hoping someone could confirm if this program will allow me to quickly check what DLC for games like rock band I currently have and what's missing etc?

no it can't see any DLC....at least not yet anyway....here's hoping that features like that are added in future as a nightmare to try sorting dlc content out

Thanks for the quick reply! Yeah exactly I'm looking at a bunch of my Rock Band DLC now and scratching my head at how on earth I can quickly go through and work out what they are and what's missing, could be a long day!

version 0.5 is out [IRC release, not posted in the usual places yet] (beta testing seems good so far)

No major changes...but it now supports all screen resolutions.

I forgot to fix the super contra issue (not that there is a good solution, anyway...).

DLC is next on my list.
