Yea just paste over it it's the old XEXLOADER, do it and u get new Xexmenu  (IMG:style_emoticons/default/jester.gif)

I tried to paste it and nothing happend. Everything is the same.

Here is what I did:

1. put the "C0DE99990F586558" on a 1gb USB Flashdrive.
2. Booted up my Xbox360 with the Flashdrive in the top/front USB slot
3. Navigated to game demos and launched "Xexloader"
4. Inside Xexloader app, navigated to USB Flashdrive file "C0DE99990F586558", pressed "Y" to bring up the  menu and selected the "copy" option.
5. Then pressed "X" to switch to the "Hdd1"
6. Navigated to folder where the Xexloader "C0DE99990F586558" is
7. Press "Y" to bring up menu and pressed the "paste" option
8. .......
9. Nothing happened....I turned off my Xbox360 and went back to where I would normally launch "Xexloader" and nothing changed. Xexloader is still there under that name and when I launch it, the menu and everything is exactly the same.

NOTE: Should I be using XEXLOADER to put the new file "C0DE99990F586558" on or should I use VIPER360.....a program I have never used but could learn fast if I needed to. If I am do use VIPER360, is it ok to put VIPER360 on my HDD1 and do all the copying and pasting from there or do I need to run VIPER360 off of a USB FLASH DRIVE.

Thanks for your quick answer above and I know it is me that is doing something wrong.....like I said an "idiot" way please....lol

You can't overwrite xexloader if it's in use, you have to download both versions of xexmenu (live & xex). Once you have both on your usb stick run xexloader then run the xexmenu xex from your usb drive. Once its booted up just copy the xexmenu live file over the old xexloader one and your done.

ok

1) Extract XeXMenu_v1.0-LIVE.rar to "XeXMenu_v1.0-LIVE" folder on a usb stick
2) Extract XeXMenu_v1.0-XEX.rar to "XeXMenu_v1.0-XEX" folder on your usb stick
3) run the old XeXloader from your hard drive
4) navigate to the "XeXMenu_v1.0-XEX" folder on your usb stick and run the default.xex
5) using this program, navigate to /Hdd1/Content/0000000000000000/C0DE9999/00080000/ and delete the file
6) navigate to the "XeXMenu_v1.0-LIVE" folder on a usb stick, click copy the file
7) go back to the folder /Hdd1/Content/0000000000000000/C0DE9999/00080000/ and paste
8) quit back to dash and it will all be done for you

is the CopyDVD function working for anyone?

After hitting Confirm, I just get dumped back to the menu for the destination directory - no progress meter shows up.

You have rename the nxe2god xex to default.xex and put it in the Applications folder in order for xexmenu to pick it up.

Now that this has FTP support what is the best way to make sure my xbox won't accidentally connect to live now that an ethernet cable is plugged in. I figured that just disabling xbox live on parental controls will work but I just wanna make sure... Ideas???

thanks

That should be just fine.  It works for me.

For the truly paranoid: The text on the first page explains how to configure your router/box so it is able to connect to local network but not the internet:

QUOTE
To prevent the Xbox from connecting to Xbox Live you can set up your network as follows:

- Use an IP adress outside your routers DHCP IP pool. If your router use 192.168.1.100-200 for DHCP you could use 192.168.1.210
- Set up your computers IP as gateway.

Just a reminder, you will be able to add themes to this site for the xexmenu http://spiffy360.com
