I was wondering if it is okay to rip games to NXE with my JTAG console. I thought I had read somewhere to never put a game disc in the dvd drive of my JTAG console cause it could potentially ruin my hack. Is this true? And can I indeed put game discs in my JTAG box because it's kind of a pain to put them in another console, rip it to my hard drive and then back to the other console. Thanks.

As for the people who are having issues with NXE2GOD live, I also had the same problems so I downloaded the file again and then I went through all the folders and copied only the NXE2GOD file and pasted it in the same directory as XEXmenu or XEX loader Content\0000000000000000\CODE9999\00080000\ and this is where you should put the NXE2GOD file.

As of now, there are no automatic updates in games, so as long as you say no to update requests, you're safe. If the RT63 transistor has been removed from your console, you're safe anyway.

It hasn't, never heard anything about that yet. Maybe I will have to do some research. Thanks

I think a good question now is:

Will NXE allow you to install to HDD games that contain update greater than the current dash installed?  blink.gif

We don't have a game that requires higher then dash 8955 yet.  When a new dash version is out you can bet the team will get out an update.

Is this a known issue, After exiting to the dash from a game that is installed with nxe2god, none of my nxe2god games will load and pop up an error.  If I reboot I can play any of them, but only one.  I have an XBR_3 Falcon.

What's the word on installed size? For example, Raiden 4 extracts to a few hundred MB using XexMenu; using NXE, will it install to 6.7gb or a few hundred mb?

Good question. It would depend i think if nxe rips it as an iso image or in folder structure. I would hope microsofts design of the 360 would decrease the iso size when ripping with nxe cause if you have like 40 originals theres a slim chance your going to squeeze them on that 250gb joke drive.

I agree, but unfortunately that doesn't necessarily mean much..and I'll be damned if I'm gonna waste a DL-DVD to test with Raiden... However, every game I've installed using NXE has been consuming the full ~6.7gb on-disk...which means the NXE2GOD method is a HORRIBLE IDEA since many 360 games don't use their full space.. That makes me sad - I guess I'll go back to using shortcuts. Shame, oh well...

I haven't used NXE2GOD yet, still have to re-flash my JTAG console.  But when I used NXE to install games on my other console before it got banned, it didn't install to the full 6.7GB every time like you say it is.

See: http://stripesonfire.com/nsc/ for a list of games sizes.  It seems Raiden IV is 3.4GB.

Anyway, I'm wondering how (if at all) this handles multi-disc games.

When I buy Mass Effect 2 next week, can I install both discs this way and switch between them somehow, or will I have to use the disc for this one game?

This happens to me as well when I have a disc in the drive.  The error goes away when I leave the tray empty.

This is only partially related to this app, but I wonder if it would be possible to have an app that could make Xbox1 games into "Xbox Originals" in NXE.  There's a small handful of old games I still play from time to time that I'd find it very useful if I could play them from the NXE.

Thanks for such an awesome program dstruktiv... !
Will you be adding in a "reverse" function, like GOD 2 NXE? So I can move the HDD back to an unmoddified 360?

Thanks!

No worries mate smile.gif

Hmm the best I could do in that regard would be to delete the new LIVE file my app makes and restore the original CON file that it saves a backup of. That way you could then put the hdd back in the original Xbox the game was ripped on (Even if it's not modded) and play it just as a normal NXE installed hdd game.

There's no way for it to be used on any other non modded xbox's other than the one it was ripped on tho because the CON file it makes is signed to that specific console.

Does anyone else need this feature?

Many people have two 360s but only one HDD, it'd really come in handy for them. Besides, it never hurts to have the option.

For that matter, would it be possible to remove the container completely and convert them to regular files in hdd1/game or something?
