Video Playback With Xbr3

So I'm copying over a few of my movies to watch on my personal XBR 3 bigblock jasper. However every time I try to play back a video (mp4 format btw) it gives me an error:

A media update is required to play this content. To get the update sign into xbox live and play the content again.

Status code: 51-C00DF236

anyone else have this error?

Grab the Optional Media Update, patch it with YarisSwap, and install it and you're golden.

i have the same issue. did exactly what you posted and it wants to connect to live instead of playing the video. This is also on a live profile, not an offline. Also tried a tip i read on another forum of creating a new profile and recopying the media update, but no luck.

Falcon-3a (NTSC), stock 60gb hdd.

actually you can not Yaris swap all versions of the optional media update. There is a very specific one that has to be patched for it to work offline. There is a thread about this at XBH.

where on the internal hard drive do you put the video files so they appear under the video tab?
