Ok sorry if I misled anybody. I redid some tests and found out that before applying NXE2GOD, the parent folder is always 00004000  (IMG:style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)

Once NXE2GOD is applied, the parent folder becomes 00007000 (I guess the author already knew that  (IMG:style_emoticons/default/jester.gif) ).  But, I did find the file 'original' in 3 out of 4 games that I tried (but again it has no bearing on our problem).

Phantasy Star Universe, The Saboteur and Test Drive Unlimited all had the file 'original', yet only Saboteur doesn't work.  Rumble Roses Double X didn't have that file but worked.

 (IMG:style_emoticons/default/pop.gif)

All games converted with NXE2GOD will have the original folder, its contains the original pirs file before convertion so you should have that in ALL converted folders.

Thanx for pointing that out.  I must have deleted the original folder for Rumble Roses by mistake.

Anyways, I'm starting to find out that some dvd drives aren't all equal  wink.gif  Some games stop copying at 50% on this new Samsung, but they copied fine on my other Samsung drive.  Ah well, I can always copy the folders from one hdd to the other,...  tongue.gif

QuickBoot is great for the rare game that refuses to install on the hdd (DoAX2 comes to mind).

Thank you very much for these appz, XeDev.

Both QuickBoot and NXE2GOD are getting some significant updates I really do hope to get every game on every system working with NXE2GOD eventually.

Just so difficult to test these things myself as I only have one console and a few games.

I also think we're very close to getting QuickBoot and XexMenu etc. to launch XBLA and GOD game containers from anywhere (USB/HDD/DVD/MU etc.).

Also look out for a a huge release coming out soon that will really open things up (Start's with F, ends with P, and has a T in the middle  (IMG:style_emoticons/default/cool.gif) ) which has the flow on effect of the possibility of network booting games etc. that are stored on your PC. Of course this might be a bit slow with full games but would be perfect for XBLA.

I was wondering if that would be possibility.

Not every XBLA as I've seen some pretty big ones recently.  There is one that is over 1gb.  It would still be good for the small ones (less than 100MB).

Keep it up.

@Looouky: work is in progress on that front.

@fred444: quickboot is a nice tool, but seamlessly merging ripped games in the NXE (NXE2GOD, DJ Sheperd's work...) definitely has its benefits.

Sweet can't wait....

How do I install NXE2GOD to my XBOX360?

I have a Jasper with XBR 3.

Thanks in advance.

Thanks Ice...

One more question. After I install XEXLoader...do I have to put NXEGOD on a DVD or can I use a USB flash drive or something?

copy "NXEGOD live" to usb or externel drive then launch xexloader and copy to Content Directory. From there you can launch from NXE dash

Or download NXEGOD Xex and run from usb or externel HDD in xexloader

I tested 29 games so far, and the following 3 gave an error: Onechanbara, The Saboteur, and Tomb Raider Legend.

Forza Motorsport 3 Disc 1 worked but after I installed Disc 2 everything got fuzored?!  Can somebody else try it please.

Gears of War NTSC= Fail to load "download game again error"

NXE2GODv0.2

Zephyr XBR_3b Non official, no hddss flashed hard drive (Fujimitsu 250GB)

Cheers.

I'm quoting my self jajajajaj....

Just to let you know that NXE2GOD currupts Gears of War 1 con file.

I tried opening it with Le fluffie and nothing.

I decided to take the original file that NXE2GOD saves and I manually fixed it with Le Fluffie and hexed the console ID so that it can be played on any console and it's all good.

Fix for those games that don't get turned properly is Le Fluffie and Hexing Console ID.

Cheers; good app.

Could you elaborate on the hexing part. I know about Le Fluffie 69 but not on hexing console id's.  I want to try your method on those 3 games that failed.

Ok, once you've fixed the package CON with le fluffie and it becomes GOD open Hex Work Shop.

Go to... offset 22C in HEX and fill the following starting at that offset with FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF

Normally will be the console ID there something like (I'm just making this up)

A0 00 00 38 23 33 A5 F8

Than it follows up with 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 <<< don't do anything to these after you've filled the 16 F's, 8 bytes

This will make it playable on any console.

Cheers.
