Another warning:

Games modified by this tool will only be GoD playable on the console that they were modified on.

I tried moving my HDD to another jtagged console and got "Cannot run" errors for all games.

what about having the nxe format and don't turn to GOD yet, once it's on the other xbox, run NXE2GOD and see if that works.

Let us know your resulsts.

I see messages (almost too fast) that the container was already modified by nxe2god

If you could remove the verification, so games could be re-patched on the current console, that'd be awesome.

no dude, I'm gonna try it in once I get home.

I'll be using KOF12 since it´s less than a GIG.

The idea is to delete the NXE GOD patched games you built.

Rip game with NXE again and don't run NXE2GOD. Leave the same format where you need the game disc.

Copy that data to another xbox and run NXe2God on that xbox and see if any patches allow it to be playable.

Cheers.

Well sure... I'm sure that would work.  Thing is I'd like to play the games from the GoD method on BOTH consoles.

One question for you...

What's the easiest way know what folder these NXE rips are saved to?

I had a hard time trying to figure that out yesterday. I did find what I was looking for, but it takes time since these rips don't contain any leading info to the game title.

Cheers.

http://360.kingla.com/  has a list of the folder "names" linked to the game name.

Works wonders for me so far!

Is there a tool yet to convert straight rips into an NXE rip (as in the 00004000/DataXXXX files that NXE install creates)?

can someone tell me this, with it being jtaged and have xbr_3 installed, can i put any laptop hdd in my official xbox hdd case and xbr will detect it? or what, i seen someone post saying they had 500gb hdd and they didn't specify if it was external.. is 250gb max for official case closure

I put an unmodified 320GB 2.5" SATA drive into my 360 and it works fine. No firmware modding required.

this works quite well actually, i stopped burning disks... and then the need of GOD container needs to be made manually but this is what I do.....

rip>(plug 1tb external hdd in) use Xbox_Image_Browser_v1.0 to browse image & extract files to my hdd....

>create container>launch game... no disk required thank god for this b/c dvd dls were getting wayyyyyyy expensive now no need too....

on the other hand i have a 120gig ms hdd hooked up and this program would be sweet as i have yet to try it...

can someone tell me this, with it being jtaged and have xbr_3 installed, can i put any laptop hdd in my official xbox hdd case and xbr will detect it? or what, i seen someone post saying they had 500gb hdd and they didn't specify if it was external.. is 250gb max for official case closure

Yes I tried both a 500GB drive and a 320GB drive in the original 360HDD enclosure and the drives were recognised and formatted to full capacity.
So rip that 120GB HDD out and stick in a 500GB. Or better yet, buy an enclosure for $10 and sell the original 120GB hard drive and make some money!

QUOTE(naizarak @ Jan 13 2010, 12:54 AM) View Post

hopefully there will be a way to run all these nxe files from external hard drives

...eliminate the need for sata-based drives

Why bother? For the cost of a game you can buy a 500GB Sata drive and fit it in a $10 360 HDD case. That would hold every game you own, easily. Most games come in at around 5GB, so it will hold around a hundred games (some games are <2GB).

Awesome "demo" lol. Works wonders with MW2!! Also, like said above, you can only run it on the xbox you install the game with.
