this works quite well actually, i stopped burning disks... and then the need of GOD container needs to be made manually but this is what I do.....
rip>(plug 1tb external hdd in) use Xbox_Image_Browser_v1.0 to browse image & extract files to my hdd....
>create container>launch game... no disk required thank god for this b/c dvd dls were getting wayyyyyyy expensive now no need too....
on the other hand i have a 120gig ms hdd hooked up and this program would be sweet as i have yet to try it...
can someone tell me this, with it being jtaged and have xbr_3 installed, can i put any laptop hdd in my official xbox hdd case and xbr will detect it? or what, i seen someone post saying they had 500gb hdd and they didn't specify if it was external.. is 250gb max for official case closure
Yes I tried both a 500GB drive and a 320GB drive in the original 360HDD enclosure and the drives were recognised and formatted to full capacity.
So rip that 120GB HDD out and stick in a 500GB. Or better yet, buy an enclosure for $10 and sell the original 120GB hard drive and make some money!

hopefully there will be a way to run all these nxe files from external hard drives
...eliminate the need for sata-based drives
Why bother? For the cost of a game you can buy a 500GB Sata drive and fit it in a $10 360 HDD case. That would hold every game you own, easily. Most games come in at around 5GB, so it will hold around a hundred games (some games are <2GB).
