i've tried it with assassins creed 2... extracting freezes at \Media\Bitmaps\ and so does the file listing (-l)

Same here (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

I tried linux and windows version and both hang up that dir. So it's a bug in the program.
If I have time I will try debug and fix this error.

Does this also remove the uneed region .PAK files? I've noticed many uneeded files in multi-region games. Look at Avatar for example it hase 4 movies and 4 sound files, 1 for each language. Definately needs a gui.
