so what your basicly telling me here is that ive been repairing my xbox when it was not needed at all,i used an xbox that i got from a friend that was on rrod with a hackable kernel,i gave him one of my own.
so i repaired the rrod and immediatly after that i did the jtag hack.
i put up some small games to test and they worked great;i then started to put on big games and thats when it all started...
i can play for a short period of time and then the games start to hang (especially in left4dead 2,ninja blade, batman arkham asylum and bioshock)
ive been adding fans and doing random RROD repairs for almost 2 weeks now,for nothing?
why arent we informed or what topics did i miss before i made an ass out of myself and dedicated many many hours of my time to fixing something that can't be fixed?
i just thought i had a hard#ss cold solderjoint on my hands...
well my wife is going to be thrilled as i'm going to bed early today...
so if i order a cygnos then i'm good?
I can't say for certain about your particular 360 but I'd say yeah it's XBR causing your troubles. The reason I say it's XBR is due to a process of elimination (in my case anyway). I bought a brand new 60gb pro just to use for XBRebooot and it has exactly the same issues you describe. Arcade games launched directly from the dash and official HDD freeze, so I know its not XEXLoader. When flashing back to the stock nand.bin dump there are no issues playing games, so I know its not dodgy hardware. This only leaves XBR as the cause for glitchy/freezing games (that's not a complaint, I fully expect it at this early stage).
A Freeboot and Cygnos setup is said to be a lot more stable and not have these issues. Although I can't confirm this since I don't own a Cygnos and haven't tested Freeboot.
For now if you want to go the single NAND and XBR route then you just have to wait and hope the issues are fixed in future releases.
