wow. i'm so excited, this is the stuff i've been waiting for! i'm pretty sure the scene will explode in a few months

well, let's check. what do we have here...
got a brand new jasper motherboard. soooo, for the jtag hack,
it has to be an old one, right? too bad, but i won't mind buying a new xbox360 just for homebrew. it's just too awesome.
could someone point me into the right direction (-maybe a
link-)?
e.g. which version is jtag-able, how do i find out, what my version is (16MB, 256/512MB NAND? and i thought i read that it's possible to jtag the new 256/512 model, too? am i wrong?)
- i'm a little confused right now, but i will do the research,
google is my friend!
this is just awesome

thanks to anyone involved. you gotta love the scene

There is really no way to tell just by looking at the xbox to determine if it's JTAG hackable.
If the dashboard version is less than 8xxx that's a start. Then you need to dump the Nand to see if the CB version is low enough so that is does not have the new bootloader that patches the JTAG exploit.
Around June to July (Date is still up for question) MS started making 360's with the new bootloader pre-installed even though the Dashboard version is low enough.
Each xbox 360 version has its own CB version to look for.
