Xexloader Released
« Reply #105 on: December 08, 2009, 02:57:00 PM »

I had a great pleasure to delete the 2 first movies from nfs shift, which annoyed me quite a lot since I play it a lot wink.gif Simply deleted with xexloader and voila, as if they never existed wink.gif

Have sometime lag ingame, at the begining of a race. This seems related to the race itself (combination of cars and track), as it is consistent 'til I reboot the console or if I try another race. Maybe a bad media @ copy time, did not take the time yet to do and extraction from the iso. The game is copied on internal 120gb, and is no more hdd installed with the dash. It's not game updates since I removed all of them. I can't remember it there was an update on xbl for this game.

So I'm not fixed yet as the cause : media, xbreboot, jtag with diodes ... seems gpu related (and so is jtag...) but a little random!

But I'm still happy wink.gif

whats the deal then if we run a game on freeboot that asks to be updated is it safe? not gonna kill the hack in any way?

i'm guessing your using freeboot 0.1. Upgrade to 0.2

So has anyone found a way to get assassin's creed 2 to play properly without freeze/slowdown?

I have tried both on xbox HDD and external both ways the game is unplayable due to freezing.

I have only patched with xgamehack with default settings. is there another way to patch or alternative program that works better?

try removing compression option aswell. Iv come accross a few games that lag and stall and doing this has slightly improved them. makes them 30min to stall instead of just 10mins.

I'll test and let you know....

nope still getting freezing.

Also have had to redo the setup page several times. you know the one that you get when you first turn on a new xbox. is this normal or is there perhaps something wrong when I wrote XBR

I can't yet don't have my jtag box.  Has anyone else tried running games from say a 250 gig external harddrive with more than one game iso extracted to different folders and just picking which one they wanted?

I have 3 different games on my 1 tb drive. you have to extract each to a folder at the root. SO i have
usb0://UFC
usb0://Ac2
usb0://COD4

you then go to that folder and select default.xex and the game starts. I have also played with 360menu which is a GUI for this but all games/pics etc have to be manually set-up for now.

It's technically considered a 'dashboard'... why i'm not sure exactly.

But you can find it under this directory path:

/XBOX 360/dashboards/XexLoader/

FOR THE 1 BILLIONTH TIME, IF YOU UPDATED INTO THE 8XXX RANGE NO HOMEBREW FOR YOU!

how many times do we have to say it, honestly?  There is absolutely no remedy for this, none, nada, zippo, zilch, no turning back, its over DONE.

Get another xbox that has a 7xxx dashboard or below if you want to use homebrew.
