Ok so I found a way to easily get Xbox 360 executables, you know those early Xbox Official magazine discs that had both xbox and xbox 360 content? well those discs can be read by a modded xbox. and yes, you can copy any of that presiding data, like the XEX's files from the 360 demo's and stuff, now i dont know if this will be helpful to the team's trying to hack and exploit the XEX file format but if it is and it makes getting an XEX easier and increase the productivity of the mod team's then great! if not, this little trick should make get your hands on an XEX's a bit easier anyway, what i would like to know is whether this is helpful info (or has already been done) and just how hard is to get an XEX otherwise? assuming this is actually helpful. anyway i would really like to know.

it's helpful if you want to run demos, as the XEX for a demo is totally different from the XEX for the full game, you would not be able to run a full game using the demo XEX. Although, if you are just doing this to see if you break the sig. then it would be a whole lot easier to get just use the demo XEX.

Another easy way to get XEX files are to download demos and XBLA games off of XBL, you can connect the hard drive to a computer, copy over the files with Xplorer360, then open/extract the files and default.XEX by using WxPirs. (This way is free, and you can get the most current demos!)

I see, either way, the whole point of it this is to finally break the 360, though are Xex's paramount to that goal? or is it something else?
