Xbox 360 Devkit?

Okay, thanks for all your answers so far. I will get some Preview Discs from some Publishers soon. I will see if they will work on that machine. And no, I don't sell, trade or do anything with them. And I also won't ask for a SDK, because I am not into coding stuff (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

You have the same kernal as me. I do know that PartnerNet isn't supported with this kernal. Also you won't be able to play games from after the kernal was released.
If you're looking for proto disks, then there's one for sale on Assemblergames. The game is Monster Madness Review, and the link is http://www.assemblergames.com/forums/showthread.php?t=15211

I just based those prices on the offers people gave me, when i was buying one.

And just because you've seen one before, doesn't make it not rare. I only know about 11 people that have one, and that's all across the 'net. There's more debug units than devkits out in the wild, so the debugs aren't as rare, but any type of x360 dev hardware is rare.

Also, the xbox with wires coming out of the top is a stress test kit, it can be converted into a dev kit (if you have a sidecar), but that's not its original purpose for it.

ohh i didnt know that less guys  have it?

How do I know which Kernel the Games need?
And again: please dont stop PM'ing me about the Preview Games. I got them directly from the Publishers and I won't sell/trade them. Thanks.

I may be wrong, and if i am, someone please correct me, but I would think that anything before march or april would work. Once again, if I'm wrong, someone please correct me.

Noob question:

I know SDK Stands for Software Developer's Kit.

But what is it? A Program on a disk? A piece of hardware? I don't get it.

I don't think it's a noob question at all. You have to learn somewhere. A SDK is a piece of software that developers use to develop programs.  Most SDKs integrate themselves into Microsoft Visual Studio. The Xbox1 SDK intergrates into Visual Studio.NET 2003, and the xbox 360 SDK integrates into Visual Studio 2005.

If you need more elaboration to what a SDK is, then check out this page on wikipedia:  http://en.wikipedia....development_kit

Thanks man. I had checked out that Wiki page earlier.

So if it's just software, why isn't it spread around all over the internet?

I have a debug kit as well, though mine does not have hdmi as his does.
flash:4548.0
xdk: 4929.0

what you guys are basically saying though is that these are virtually useless to us without the software and hardware for development...

On another note, I looked inside of the system, an the debug kit has 2 empty connectors, one 13, and on 9-pin, very near the dvd rom drive, that when viewed on a regualr xbox, you can see that the spots are there, but the connector has not been attached.  What are these for?  I assume some way to transfer data to the computer you'd be developing on?
