Hi guys,

I hope someone can help me out here.  I bought a new xbox and within like 3 months the hard drive was sluggish.  I really wanted to continue on with my Mass Effect 3 game but it was getting unplayable.  I knew most likely I just needed to reformat my hard drive.  I was on a budget but I happened to have an 8GB USB  drive laying around.

I had more save games and files then would fit on my 8GB USB so I mistakenly assumed I could just copy directly from the USB to my laptop to back the files up and then move them all back to the USB and from there to the Xbox 360 hard drive when it was done reformatting.  I discovered how very wrong I was when I copied files from my laptop to the USB and then stuck the USB in my Xbox.  The Xbox wasn't seeing the files and wanted me to format the USB again.

I even tried formatting the USB in the Xbox again then copying the files from the laptop to it and got the same results.  I'd like to get my Fallout saved games back as well as a couple other games if possible.  Am I just out of luck or is there something I can do to get the saved files on my laptop back onto my Xbox 360?  Maybe some software I can run on my laptop that will format my saved xbox files back to how they should be and let me move them back to an xbox formatted usb?  Anything at all?

I am not sure what happened with you, but you can try the following:
Format the USB Flash on XBOX

Plug USB Flash in your PC

Use USBXTAFGUI_v44.exe

Inject your saved games in the appropriate directory.

Plug the USB Flash in your XBOX.

Go to system > Storage

Open your USB Flash

Copy or transfer content to your Xbox HDD.
